Program Zeichnung
I have german version open office 4.01. Something is working wrong on the program part Zeichnung (draw). If you like to print Labels you get troubles without ending. In first step in the software it looks like wonderful. If you go to print menu, you found the point in sheet open office draw: Druckseite mit wiederholten Seiten füllen. Its wonderful and easy. The position of the first label or site is at left side on the top without gap. But my printer need a gap. So the Software doesnt distribute my printer area. All sites or label on the top and on the left side are cutted by my printer. So I used the site Seitenlayout in print menu. I use the point Seiten pro Blatt (site per sheet) and set it to Benutzerdefiniert (user definition). Now I can make a gap at the border of my print sheet. But now I have a gap between all labels (sites) with 5mm. I doesnt want this gap. If you put at Rand (border) a other value that will be move, but If you change Abstand .. zwischen Seiten (gap between sites), it do nothing. So I cannot use openOffice for Labels, Business cards or little sites to print of one sheet. I'm not certain if I . . .
. . . have directed my concerns to the right place. They are these: * I have tried to get help about a matter through reading theforums. My particular issue IS dealt with in theforums, but my trying the solutions suggested have not solved my problem. * I tried to register for the forums, but I cannot findmy particular edition of my OpenOffice, so I cannotregister for forum response. * If you can tell me where to go to find answer to theseissues, I will be glad to comply. I cannot turn of the hyperlink. I have read the forums aboutthis problem, but none of the solutions suggestions haveworked for me. The simplest one, use control + M, which some havefound very successful, has done nothing. I am getting blue, underlined paragraphs. Have tried rightarrow but that does nothing. I know that the hyperlink is engaged, but I cannot disengage it.As a result my manusript, a novel that has been accepted bya publisher, is currently unfinished. I admit that I am a frightened to use some of the suggestedremedies, but I have gone ahead and tried them, much to myconsternation that they do nothing. I need help. Thank you. Jim Porter James E. Re: I'm not certain if I . . .
Hyperlinks are recognized by default, but you can switch if off, go to: *Tools -- AutoCorrect Options* the third tab *Options* allows you to deselect the *URL R**ecognition* there are two check boxes [M] Modify [T] Type best is to deselect both. As your manuscript has already the URLs recognized you need to select them and reformat them (Cntr M). On 6-3-2014 10:07, Jim Porter, Sr. wrote: . . . have directed my concerns to the right place. I have long had those two checkboxes deselected, yet when I copy and paste from a web site containing an URL, the URL is still recognized as an URL. Deselecting those two checkboxes accomplishes nothing. And I sympathize with the original poster; it is not easy to get rid of the URL formatting. The only way I have been able to do it is to select the entire document and copy it to the clipboard, open a new blank document, and then use Paste Special (Ctrl-Shift-v). This allows the option of pasting the text in as unformatted text. And finally, save the new document and trash the old one. Unfortunately, Paste Special Unformatted also loses all other formatting, e.g., bold, italic, font choices, etc. --- List Conduct Guidelines: http://openoffice.apache.org/list-conduct.html To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org

That was the first thing I tried to do. With the URL completely selected, including a space before and after, I tried to remove local formatting, assign a different style, and everything else I could think of. Nothing would remove the URL formatting from the URL. The only way I can get rid of the URL formatting is to cut it from the document (Ctrl-x), then Paste Special it back into the document as unformatted text. I find this highly annoying. --- List Conduct Guidelines: http://openoffice.apache.org/list-conduct.html To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org
