Word Perfect filters were removed from OpenOffice 4 for copyright reasons.

To open existing Word Perfect files these should be converted to OpenOffice
formats. www.zamzar.com offer a free online service for many format types.

With any format conversion there may be need for some slight reformatting.

You need to delete the folder "org.openoffice.script.savedState". It is
in the "Saved Application State" folder in your User/Library.

This is an OpenOffice Forum.
Such strong personal opinions of a database should be discussed in other forums.

Abslutely NEVER, I repeat N-E-V-E-R use MySQL if you want your data to
be safe. MySQL was made by people who are "competent" enough to e.g. not
even consider it necessary to enforce foreign key constraints by
default.

Use PostgreSQL.

You can use "Save As..." (and choose html output) to save docs in html
format from OpenOffice. This should provide the same functionality as
saving with "filtered html".

How do I print a document in landscape?

setting 'format -> page -> page -> orientation' to landscape usually works fine.
alternatively, you may export the document to pdf (file -> export as pdf) and rotate
pages apropriately in your pdf viewer.
