Hi, I am having an issue with the OpenOffice Writer. Every time I try to use Web View, it ends up slowing the program to un-usability. I've tried to compatibility troubleshooter, Hi PDI scaling, disable Hi DPI scaling, compatibility mode, no compatibility mode, etc. Can't seem to get it to work in Web View seamlessly. I'm running Windows 8.1, on a 2014 Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro (with 3200x1800 display). Thank you for your time.

There was an earlier problem (fixed in 8.x? - I'm not sure) with OpenOffice running on displays wider than 2560 pixels. Try reducing your display width, as a short term expedient, to see if this improves response. open office installation on my mac

I had the same problem. The solution was to click on Preferences under the Apple, select Security Privacy. You will get the message Allow Apps downloaded from Mac App Store or Mac App Store and Identified Developers or Anywhere. You will have to enter your password which will allow you to click on the lock to make changes. Click on the lock to unlock, then select Anywhere. You should then be able to install Open Office. After installed go back and select Mac App Store and Identified Developers, then click on the lock, which will get you back to a safe place, Since Open Office has many,many developers Apple will not recognize it as a safe application. Apache OpenOffice 4.1.0 released
Opened new release. My problem trying to get Page Break Preview to work has not been fixed. When I open up my spread sheet and click on page break preview the entire page is gray and I cannot move anything to get it in open white so I can set page breaks. Any suggestions?
