Re: Open Office 4.1 horizontal scrolling on MacBook Pro
Thank you Ariel. You were correct in the bug details you pointed me to, and it was the build mentioned in the associated comments that I tried unsuccessfully. See my email this morning to Brian Barker copied to this list. All's now well. I will probably never know why what worked fine today wouldn't work yesterday. A June bug? Re: Open Office 4.1 horizontal scrolling on MacBook Pro
Thanks, Brian. It worked. I downloaded http://people.apache.org/~hdu/AOO_trunk_i124191.dmg twice yesterday and on both occasions the file name was reported as unrecognisable with the name "AOO_trunk_i124191.d" and there was nothing I found that would correct it. I have not in the past decade ever had a file type truncated like that. Another mystery! But the download this morning was troublefree - and the irritating bug is fixed. Thank you very much for your help and patience. Mike - To unsubscribe, e-mail: users-unsubscr...@openoffice.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: users-h...@openoffice.apache.org

Re: speel check
Click on Tools/Options/Language Settings/Writing Aids and look for the dictionaries you have downloaded. Check the box beside the ones you want to use. Then open the file you are working with and when a word is red underlined, right click on it and select ADD. You will see all the dictionaries you have selected. -Original Message- From: Andrea Pescetti Sent: Friday, June 06, 2014 11:25 AM To: users@openoffice.apache.org Cc: b.cu...@enp.pt Subject: Re: speel check Brian Curto wrote: I am having a major problem regarding language and spell checking. The build that was suggested might fix this downloads OK but the file is unrecognisable on mu MacBook. The download on sourceforge is still the 15th April one, not the 29th April as the sourceforge site indicates. When will a release be available to fix this? Open Office 4.1 horizontal scrolling on MacBook Pro
In the 4.1 Calc app, I can only horizontally scroll to the right. If I try to scroll back to the left it continues scrolling to the right. This happens with both my trackpad and my Apple Mighty Mouse. I checked the community forums and it seems like others are experiencing this issue. I've reverted to version 4.01 to eliminate this problem that makes Calc very difficult to use. Is there any other workaround? Are there plans to revert to the correct behavior?
