I don't recall that. Way back then, I was at IBM Canada, supporting
OS/2, Windows 95 and NT, with some DOS stuff thrown in too. With 16 bit
Windows, which includes everything up to Windows moron edition, but not
NT, 2000 etc., DOS was actually used for very little. Most of the
functionality of Windows came from Windows. I do recall that DR-DOS was
superior to MS-DOS in many ways and that Gary Kildall proved in court
that MS-DOS contained some "borrowed" CP/M code.

That depends upon which version of which DOS clone one uses.

I don't know if it was ever publicly released, but Novel did beta test a
version of DrDOS that, when run with either WFWG or Win 3.0, gave the
setup the functional equivalent to Windows 95.

Hello

Is the Apache Open Office really free?

If things look to good to be true, they most likely are.

Will it work on Windows 10, ryzen 5 1400, 8 gig memory?

You need to delete the folder "org.openoffice.script.savedState". It is
in the "Saved Application State" folder in your User/Library.

See this post on the user forum for detailed instructions:

hello did you have backup of your file?
or saved informations before crashing?
see openoffice tools, options, load-save, general save auto recovery
information every and also always create backup copy.

windows has the option for recovery of file and restore to the
previous state, i believe that mac also should has such option or at
least free external application for recovery lost data!
hope that help, God bless you and his infinite mercy be for you.

Please Help

2017-09-19 Thread N Ladhu
Dear Support Team,

I have used open office for a number of years and now predominantly use it for
work documents.

I use OpenOffice on my MacBook Pro 13” running on Mac OS Sierra Version 10.12.6.

Open Office sadly crashed and I now cannot edit or save changes or convert any
documents and even have to open them in an odd way.

This is due to any actions being blocked by a pop up message that will not go
away.

The message is as follows:

"The last time you opened OpenOffice, it unexpectedly quit while reopening
windows.
Do you want to try to reopen its windows again?”

"If you choose not to reopen windows, you may have to open and position the
windows yourself."

Regardless of whether I select Open or Don’t Reopen the message does not
respond and stays on the screen.

I Googled the error and found many other users have had the same issue but
their suggestions to fix it aren’t applicable.

I would really appreciate if you could kindly advise ASAP.

Many thanks.

Kind regards,

Narikai

Font sizes are managed by using Paragraph Styles.
If this is easy depends much on the capabilities of the sender.
The readability is controlled by the zooming factor, you can use the zoom
slider at the right - bottom corner of your window.

Zooming spreadsheet

2017-09-19 Thread Dave C

Received a spreadsheet with tiny fonts.

How can I increase fonts and keep readability of the sheet? Do I also
have to increase vertical & horizontal size of the rows and columns? Is
there a way to do this globally?

Thanks,
Dave

hello.
you can change zooming in view menu in to your desire.
i think that it should be the last option in view menu.
just press alt+v to activate view menu and find and select your desire.
hope that help, God bless you.
