Grammar check

2016-10-08 Thread MARSHA DAVIS
Hi, I am using openoffice 4.0.1 but cannot get the grammar check to work. It
does the spellcheck but doesn't go into the grammar check mode. Is there
something I'm missing? Can you give me instructions to make it work?

Any help will be appreciated.

Sincerely,

Marsha Davis

Hi,

Have you installed an extension for grammar check? It's not included by default.

That topic is confusing - I go to http://extensions.openoffice.org/ - search on
grammar checker, and it's not obvious which tool I want.

tnx

Try whichever you like. If it doesn't suit, uninstall it and try another. I
learned more grammar at school than the various English grammar checkers know.

In the search field, enter grammar and you'll have some matches.
The one often cited is LanguageTool:
http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/languagetool
But there may be others.
