Subject: OPEN OFFICE INSTALLATION

I’ve just installed this software and it looks great. The installation files
are on my desktop (the default setting) but now it’s installed can I delete
this from the desktop or does it need to remain there for the software to work?
Hope to hear from you soon.

Yours,

Peter

Or keep your downloaded file
(Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.3_Win_x86_install_en-GB.exe, or similar name) and delete
the desktop folder. If you need to reinstall, double clicking on the .exe file
downloaded will generate the desktop installation folder again.

Open Office Installation

2014-08-12 Thread Renate Olgemann

Hallo Helfer-Community!

Beim Versuch, Open Office 4.1.0 Win x 86, heruntergeladen von der
Apache-Seite, auf Windows 7 Professional zu installieren, erscheint die
Meldung An error occured during registration of extensions.

Der Installationsvorgang läuft anschließend sozusagen rückwärts.
Die neueste Java-Version ist installiert.

Über hilfreiche Vorschläge würde ich mich freuen.

I had the same problem. The solution was to click on Preferences under the
Apple, select Security Privacy. You will get the message Allow Apps
downloaded from Mac App Store or Mac App Store and Identified Developers or
Anywhere. You will have to enter your password which will allow you to
click on the lock to make changes. Click on the lock to unlock, then
select Anywhere. You should then be able to install Open Office.
After installed go back and select Mac App Store and Identified
Developers, then click on the lock, which will get you back to a safe place,
Since Open Office has many, many developers Apple will not recognize it as
 a safe application.
