Paul, When you saved the file(s), in what folder did you save them? What did you name the file(s)? In what format (extension) did you save the file(s)? The default is generally ‘untitled 1.odt’ in whatever folder you last saved a text file. That folder will most likely be in the ‘Documents’ folder or be the ‘Documents’ folder. Writer documents saved but vanish.
I am setting down my part in our family’s history. After 3 days of typing in details and saving frequently, the Writer document has disappeared. I am running OS 10.14.6 and AOO 4.1.11. I have not shut down my iMac over those 3 days. writer documents
Until recently I was able to open multiple documents and edit them just by clicking on them. Now I am given the choice to open documents in read only or open copy to edit. In the latter I can only open one document at a time. How do I return to the original setting and open multiple documents at the same time with the ability to edit each document/
