I must have received this in error because I have no use for it and didn't
ask for it plus had no need to know anything in it.
   So here's you notification.
I cannot delete it, only you can have any even miniscule chance of
deleting it, and I have copied it to my hard drive in order to read it and
discover this order from you. And I'm afraid it's been disclosed to the
general public at large by being on a newsgroup; that's your fault, not
mine! I sure hope everyone reading this notifies you, because its been
pretty widely copied to hard drives and been disclosed before it was even
possible to read your warning. The only remedy I can think of for you would
be to:
-- Drop trou
-- Scratch butt fiercely with fingernails
-- Sit on salt cow lick
-- Rub butt fiercely back and forth, side to side and front to back
-- Send another confidential statement out

The www.openoffice.org website lists a number of vendors who offer (or
have offered in the past) to sell CDs of the software, though OOo makes
no guarantees about them. It should be a nominal cost (under $10 USD),
and you'll need to be sure to specify the operating system and version
you need. If there are no high-speed internet connections available,
that may be your best bet, although there are sometimes computer-related
magazines that contain CDs that include OOo and other FOSS software --
again, you'll need to make sure you have a version compatible with your
system.

Re: [users] Re: odt table bug?

2010-04-29 Thread Franz Wein

 Hi

I opened the link in the Issue 110135:

Created an attachment (id=68348)

with the OOO 3.20 OOO320m12 (Build :9482) in SeaMonkey without a problem, the
table is completely correct.
I use windows XP SP3 with all updates.

When I save this document as a HTML-Writer-Document I can reopen the document
without a problem - I know this problem in the last years when I import
HTML-Tables.
Workaround:
Open the document again as HTML-Document - mark all in the HTML an
insert it completely in a new Writer document - you will see - it works well.
you could it now save as a MS-Word-Document and also reopen in WRITER
- without any problem!

This issue occurs always - in all OOO versions - always was this the way to
repair the document for myself.
Maybe this workaround will help you to find the mistake.

The FHS document is a permanent source of bugs, as the doctor uses 4

Pedro, new status; the bug has been moved to a 3.3 fix, but for a good
reason.

Chris, you might want to try disconnecting from the internet, then disabling
your *Antivirus programme*, and finally, double-clicking the OOo .exe file
that you have saved on your computer. In the event the installation
procedure is successful, remember to enable your AV before reconnecting to
the internet

Followed the Microsoft directions;
Bug in .NET. See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308096

Tried it several times , however, each time OpenOffice installation rolls back
and "Fully UnInstalls"
OpenOffice when it fails leaving me without an install.
Latest .NET update for Vista also fails during installation. Out of ideas.

I thought this comment might amuse y'all.
It's forwarded with permission from one of the pre-eminent

They're chatting about the Office 2010 Beta.

Works great! I added Bookmarks to the References tab, gave it an icon,
rearranged the command groups, etc.

Congratulations to Word 2010 (for restoring Word 2003 functionality).

[users] OT: MS admits difference

2010-04-29 Thread Tom Bell
I saved a Calc spreadsheet I had created. When
I opened it in Excel I lost all the formulas, however,
and saved it with new formulas in the Excel format.
When I went to open one of the files, Windows 7
identified the Excel file as Microsoft Excel and
the Calc file as "OpenDocument Spreadsheet".
I just thought you might find it interesting.
I think it was a slip of the finger, maybe.
I prefer Kubuntu to Windows, but must use
Windows because the college I attend is not in the
21st Century (they don't allow a choice).
