Re: [users] Problem With Creating Hyperlinks

2009-07-22 Thread Stephen Grant Brown

Hi Franz,

In Open Office help I read
---
Insert Bookmark
Inserts a bookmark at the cursor position. You can then use the Navigator to
quickly jump to the marked location at a later time. In an HTML document,
bookmarks are converted to anchors that you can jump to from a hyperlink.

To access this command...
Choose Insert - Bookmark
Open Insert toolbar, click
---

Is this the correct way to insert bookmarks?
If this is so, how do I set a hyperlink to jump to that hyperlink?

I have tried setting hyperlinks to bookmarks but they are never found.

Yours Sincerely Stephen Grant Brown

Hi Stephen

yes I think so - actualy I got no answer to my letter. The way to insert
bookmarks in a dokument/file or a homepage is known. And this is the only
way to edit the html and get a correct page.

- Open an explorer window

folder options?

Hi All,

I do not want KompoZer, I do not want NoteTab.

All I want to know is how to set Open Office 3.0.1 as the default editor for
html in Microsoft Vista's Internet Explorer.

It worked with the previous version of Open Office, how do I do it with Open
Office 3.0.1?

Hi Franz

What is the answer to this issue?

Do you mean that this has been acknowledged as an issue and needs to be
fixed?

Or do you mean that you now know how to jump to a named anchor/bookmark in a
html file from another html file?

Hi All,

The two attached files were created by Open Office 2.4.2 running on
an Microsoft Vista Home Premium machine.

I am unable to bookmark a location in in file saved in html format
and create a hyper link to it that works from another html file.

It comes up with file not found.

But if a use a hyperlink to refer to a bookmark in a file that was
not created but Open Office it works.

This is a very basic problem so what am I doing wrong?

Yours Sincerely

[users] Opening Index.html as web page and not source.

2006-08-11 Thread Stephen Grant Brown

Hi All,
When I open the attached file with open office writer it opens as html source
and not as a wysiwygweb page.
It first wants to use the "ASCII Filter Options" dialog box and I OK it.
I am using "OpenOffice.org 2.0.3" on a computer running Windows XP. Other
.htm and .html files open in wysiwyg format.
What am I doing wrong?
