Hi, When I converted a virtual machine from Xen to OpenVZ, I noticed that my meminfo-graphing scripts broke horribly :) I figure most of those parameters are too hard to extract on a per-VE basis... right? -- 2. What's the unit of such parameters,Bytes or Kbyte,if I changed them to bigger or smaller ones, what will happen? These are resource values. If you set them too small your applications inside the VE will not work if you set them too high your Hardware-Node may run out of steam. [Users] /proc/stat ctxt/intr in VE
Hi, It looks like the number of context switches in /proc/stat is recorded for the entire OpenVZ machine, rather than on a per-VE basis. Would it be possible to get these to match the VE they run in? The interrupts are completely missing OTOH. -- 2. That which causes joy or happiness. ___ Users mailing list Users@openvz.org https://openvz.org/mailman/listinfo/users
[Users] broadcast messages on venet0
Hi all Any one knows the internal mechanism for broadcast messages on venet0? Virtuozzo Networking - venet0 Mode When I try ping -b 192.168.1.255 inside the ve,I got know response.TCPdump outside VE on the host showed something on venet0,but nothing on eth0.When I do the samething outside VE,at least tcpdump will show the ping request message on eth0s. It seems that venet0 dropped the broadcast messages? I also tried Ifconfig venet0 broadcast 192.168.1.255,but the system do not allow me to do this? My template is ubuntu804,and host openvz kernel is ovz004. I found some threads talking about venet0:0,someone said it’s a bug, other said it’s designed like this for Debian based templates. Is just an alias, righ?Any clarification? Anyone has some idea to get the broadcast message get through?
