Re: [Users] Cloning in v7
Hi Scott, I have done pretty much the same, created a Centos 7 container, stopped it, and then tried to clone. Using verbose this is all it shows: # prlctl clone dbs01 --name dbs02 -v 9 Logging in server uuid={0e919b66-abd3-4b53-b490-87eb95b69a55} sessionid={236efb78-ce5f-48b3-b91a-f4d90332504c} The virtual machine found: dbs01 Clone the dbs01 CT to CT dbs02... PrlCleanup::register_hook: 9bd400 Failed to clone the CT: Operation failed. Failed to execute the operation. PrlCleanup::unregister_hook: 9bd400 Logging off Weird, as if I then try and start the source container it works fine. Baffled :( Thanks, Phil - On 7 Sep, 2015, at 18:28, Scott Dowdle dow...@montanalinux.org wrote: > Greetings, > > - Original Message - >> is cloning working for others in v7 ? > > I created a CentOS 7 container, stopped it, and the cloned it, and the started > the clone just fine. Re: [Users] Cloning in v7
Greetings, - Original Message - > is cloning working for others in v7 ? I created a CentOS 7 container, stopped it, and the cloned it, and the started the clone just fine. It's working for me. When using clone with the --template option, it seems to create a new container under /vz/private that doesn't show up in prlctl list -a. I guess it's a template but would have expected it to be placed somewhere under /vz/template/cache/. I'm not sure how to use it as a template. [Users] Cloning in v7
Hello: so far so good with Virtuosso v7 and now testing cloning. Any thoughts as to why this is failing as the log files do not show anything of interest ? prlctl clone dbs01 --name dbs02 Clone the dbs01 CT to CT dbs02... Failed to clone the CT: Operation failed. Failed to execute the operation. Thanks, Phil ___ Users mailing list Users@openvz.org https://lists.openvz.org/mailman/listinfo/users
