Re: [Users] Where to download oVirt Engine 3.3?

2013-05-04 Thread Alon Bar-Lev
Hello,

No, I don't think so.
As this is development version, I would not expect upgrade to work yet.
But you can give it a try...
In theory you should be able to run engine-upgrade while having the rpms
available in yum repository.
engine-upgrade will upgrade the rpms, database and all related packaging.
Backup your system and database before attempting!!!

Re: [Users] Unable to add host - Error looking up infinispan/ovirt-engine

2013-05-04 Thread Alon Bar-Lev
Hello Allon,

It seems that already have it[1] in engine service.
This is once again demonstrate why development environment and production
environment needs to be merged.
The execution of standalone jboss configuration is not supported for a long
time, it does not set the correct product environment to be allowed sane
execution, for example[2].

I truly need your and other help to improve the new development environment[3],
in which we finally end the parallel effort of developers to hack the product
to work in their environment, and allow us to join forces with the way product
is packaged and distributed to user, while having full feature set in
development mode.

Regards,
Alon

[Users] Problem with time zone of a desktop VM

2013-05-04 Thread Gianluca Cecchi
Hello,
oVirt 3.2.1 on Fedora 18 all-in-one configuration.
I created a Windows XP with wrong time zone (default that is UTC -12
.. why? Don't reply why not, please... ;-)
Now if the VM is powered off and I edit it, I can't still change its
timezone, because it is greyed out in initial run section.
Tried to change inside guest but at next reboot it keeps with same problem.

How can I change it after creation?
How to change default so that it is not UTC-12 but matches my timezone
for every desktop I create?

Thanks,
Gianluca

I do not want to advertise any proprietary solution, but dropbox comes
to mind. It's pretty easy to open up a shell accound in Fedora such as
my http://danken.fedorapeople.org/ .

[Users] NFS Export Doamin

2013-05-04 Thread suporte
Hi,

I'm runing oVirt 3.2, I had to restart all the system, when the system (engine,
hosts and storage) comes up, the NFS export domain was not connected to the
switch, i notice that the hosts did not come live because of that. This is not
a main storage, is this a normal behavior?

Re: [Users] NFS Export Doamin

2013-05-04 Thread Allon Mureinik
Frankly, the host status shouldn't depend on any domain status, as a series of
recent patches fixed.
I don't think got into oVirt 3.2, however.

I'm wondering if this work should be backported to 3.2.1/3.2.2, but it's quite
a major change, not sure the risk justifies it...
