In the QuickStart Guide, it implies that you should find a virtual
floppy image for virtio-win in the ISO_DOMAIN. Or at least I can find no
information on where to find/populate that image before the Guide shows
   its use.

However, in my default 3.3 installation, there was nothing pre-populated
in my ISO_DOMAIN. Should there have been?

   Regards,
Bob

I've never seen that happen on any of my installs.

You can grab the drivers at
   http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/images/

Anyone would like to step in for packaging virtio-win so we can add it to
  ovirt repository?
So we can add it as dependency and have ISO_DOMAIN populated.

I can take it, if alonbl doesn't mind me asking him a few questions about
 packaging :)

Bug 1026930 - Package virtio-win and put it in ovirt repositories (I'll do
 this)

Very nice, thanks!
Will you also package/create the virtual floppy disk?
On http://alt.fedoraproject.org/pub/alt/virtio-win/latest/images/
there's only the ISO, but not the vfd and installing Windows is much
easier with drivers on a floppy then changing the install CDs...

Thanks,
René

I had the bright idea of shutting down all boxes then rebooting them
(trying to fix another unrelated problem). Now I can't get the master
data domain to activate. Here's the relevant section from the

Hello,

I have same problem here. I think it is related to
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1009100, because before live
migration takes place it tries to create live snapshot and it fails..
So, is there somewhere qemu-kvm-rhev for centos?

Offline migration test still in progress, but I believe it is going to
work, because I dont need live snapshot to be created.

do you use qemu-kvm or qemu-kvm-rhev rpm?

qemu-kvm:

0.1.el6_4.9.x86_64

qemu-kvm-tools.x86_64 2:0.12.1.2-2.355.0.1.el6_4.9
[root@gnkvm01 ~]#

It seems that qemu-kvm-rhev is not available for CentOS/oVirt?

[Users] [QE] oVirt 3.3.1 RC testing

2013-11-06 Thread Sandro Bonazzola
Hi,
oivrt-engine-3.3.1 has been released in beta repository [1] as release
candidate.
Please join us testing it!
I've created a wiki page [2] for collecting participants to 3.3.1 testing.
Due to lack of time it's a really minimal page, remanding to 3.3 test day for
covering the test cases,
feel free to improve it if you want.
Happy testing!

[Users] [QE] 3.3.2 Release tracker

2013-11-06 Thread Sandro Bonazzola
Hi,

as you may know, we're planning to build oVirt 3.3.2 beta really soon and
release 3.3.2 by early December.
I have created a tracker bug
(https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1027349) for this release.
Beta build will be composed in 2 weeks.

The following is a list of the bugs with target 3.3.2 or 3.3:

Whiteboard Bug ID Summary
infra 987982 When adding a host through the REST API, the error message says
that rootPassword is required...
infra 1017267 Plaintext user passwords in async_tasks database
infra 992883 VdsManager.OnTimer loads VDS instead of VdsDynamic
infra 1020344 Power Managent with cisco_ucs problem
infra 1009899 exportDbSchema scripts generates output file with wrong name
integration 1022440 AIO - configure the AIO host to be a gluster
cluster/host
integration 1026926 engine-cleanup (and possible engine-setup) does not
affect runtime value of shmmax
integration 902979 ovirt-live - firefox doesn't trust the installed engine
integration 1021805 oVirt Live - use motd to show the admin password
network 1019818 Support OpenStack Havana layer 2 agent integration
network 988002 [oVirt] [network] Add button shouldn't appear on specific
network
network 987916 [oVirt] [provider] Dialog doesn't update unless focus lost
network 987999 [oVirt] [provider] Add button shouldn't appear on specific
provider
storage 915753 Deadlock detected during creation vms in pool
storage 987917 [oVirt] [glance] API version not specified in provider dialog
storage 1024449 Check the performance with lvm-2.02.100-7
virt1007940 Cannot clone from snapshot while using GlusterFS as POSIX
Storage Domain
? 991267 [RFE] Add TUI information to log file.

Please set the target to 3.3.2 and add the bug to the tracker if you think that
3.3.2 should not be released without it fixed.

Please also update the target to 3.3.3 or any next release for bugs that won't
be in 3.3.2: it will ease gathering the blocking bugs for next releases.

For those who want to help testing the bugs, I suggest to add yourself as QA
contact for the bug.
