Did you try to fix the permissions as I suggested?

sudo chown -R vdsm:kvm /home/DATA /home/ISO

If this does not help, we need to look at the selinux labels.

Deekshith, I feel that we are miscommunicating.

First, execute this command and send the *output of this command*, not logs:

$ ls -lhZ $(realpath /rhev/data-center/mnt/_ovirt_DATA)

For example,

greg@dauntless:/home/greg$ ls -lhZ $(realpath
/rhev/data-center/mnt/_ovirt_DATA)

-rw-rw-r--. 1 greg greg system_u:object_r:fusefs_t:s0 39K Feb 2 2016
'20160201 ahs.tif.pdf'

...

^^ send the output you see

Also this:

$ ausearch -m avc -ts week-ago

For example,

greg@dauntless:/home/greg$ sudo ausearch -m avc -ts week-ago

Ok, great. It looks like you're using a different storage path now.

Did you try to start a VM again? Try again, and if it fails, attach vdsm.log.

We need to run that command on your host after you setup your host and storage.
Is "mrpl" your engine machine? Did you setup host and storage again yet?

For example,

It appears you have permission issues on your storage.

I see you are using storageType='LOCALFS'

per https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/admin-guide/chap-Storage/

"Ensure that the directory has permissions allowing read/write access to the
vdsm user (UID 36) and kvm group (GID 36)."

Can you verify that?

If you want to avoid the backup/restore you can try reinstalling some of the
packages:

   yum reinstall ovirt-engine-wildfly

and run engine-setup.

It appears you have permission issues on your storage.

I see you are using storageType='LOCALFS'

per https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/admin-guide/chap-Storage/

"Ensure that the directory has permissions allowing read/write access to the
vdsm user (UID 36) and kvm group (GID 36)."

Can you verify that?

If you want to avoid the backup/restore you can try reinstalling some of the
packages:

   yum reinstall ovirt-engine-wildfly

and run engine-setup.

It appears you have permission issues on your storage.

I see you are using storageType='LOCALFS'

per https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/admin-guide/chap-Storage/

"Ensure that the directory has permissions allowing read/write access to the
vdsm user (UID 36) and kvm group (GID 36)."

Can you verify that?

2018-07-01 Thread Deekshith
Hi team

It was installed 1 year back , 10 days before we were not able to take the
console and webadmin of the server, it was working only 10 minutes once
manually restart the server, so I tried refreshing the engine (engine
cleanup)but same issue ,so I upgraded my centos 7.2 to 7.4 then i got webadmin
and console of the server ,now my first problem is resolved ...but host is not
coming up

Is this a fresh install or an upgrade to 4.1?

Is your engine functioning at all? I'm not sure if you're saying your entire
engine doesn't work, or just host deploy doesn't work.

What version of ovirt engine is this?

How did you install -- fresh installation, upgrade? From source or rpm?

Best wishes,

Greg

Anyone ever seen this before? It sounds like a bad installation if Java classes
are missing / classloader issues are present.
