Hi,

I had a fault which gave 1000's of events.

After the fault was solved I cleared all events in Events tap, and they
disappeared.

But the Dashboard still shows the alarms.

Are there some way to update the dashboard ?

Re: [ovirt-users] Trunk port for a guest nic?

2016-07-31 Thread Peter Michael Calum
Hi,

In my setup all VM’s runs on separate Vlans.

On hypervisors I have :

nic0 / nic1 : bond0 – ovirtmgmt + storage (nic0 / nic1 is access ports in
vlanxxx) 10G network
nic2 / nic3 : bond1 – Trunk ports with vlan1,2,3,4..n - 1G network

In logical networks in manager I define all vlan1,2,3,4..n with vlan tag

In VM I connect nics to Vlan(s) from the logical networks.

Peter

So, if my hypervisor I have 4 NICs,

So i just create a trunk network, no tags and connect it to the bonded
interface? Then attach it to my guest?

Yes.
When you do not define a vlan on the ovirt network, it means that everything
passes to it, tagged and non tagged.
When you connect the guest to that network, it will just pass all packets as is
(you will need to define the vlans in your guest to strip the tagging).
I would start with one VLAN on the host, just to see that it works and then
proceed with the others. You may need to define macspoofing to allow multiple
mac addresses to exit the same VM.

Cheers,
Dan

Hello Dan,
If you mean allowing a VM to communicate on multiple vlan/s, then attaching a
VM to a non-vlan network should do the job.
You just need to define a trunk in the VM.

Thanks,
Edy.

Hmm, it's really strange that this is working on 3.6 and not on 4.0, I don't
see any obvious error, so we need to find out what are correct parameters for
your fencing device.
The easiest way is to execute fence_ipmilan, according to vdsm.log following
are your current options:
fence_ipmilan -a khk9dsk35-mgnt.ip.tdk.dk<http://khk9dsk35-mgnt.ip.tdk.dk> -l
mgntuser -p -o status
Does the above works if it's execute from
khk9dsk34-mgnt.ip.tdk.dk<http://khk9dsk34-mgnt.ip.tdk.dk>? Btw is username
correct? Shouldn't be there 'mgmtuser'?
If all of above is correct and you are still not able to get power status, here
are options you could try:
-v
--lanplus
-4

I get this error when testing.
[Failed: Unable to obtain correct plug status or plug is not available, , ]

I also have a 3.6 setup and there it works.

Ovirt Node 4.02
oVirt Engine Version: 4.0.1.1-1.el7.centos

Is this list the correct way to report errors ?

[ovirt-users] Problems installing Ovirt 4.02 Node

2016-07-26 Thread Peter Michael Calum
Hi group,

Im trying to install a Ovirt 4.02 Hypervisor Node
(ovirt-node-ng-installer-ovirt-4.0-pre-2016072108.iso).
Hardware is IBM X3550M4 with 256 GB Ram.
I follow the installation steps and use automatic partitioning and installation
goes fine without errors.
I only create the root user.

When I log in after reboot I get this error :

Last login: Tue Jul 26 08:30:58 2016 from slt-vpn-62-242-222-13.eng.tdc.net

  imgbase status: DEGRADED
Please check the status manually using `imgbase check`

[root@khk9dsk34 ~]# imgbase check
Status: FAILED
Mount points ... FAILED - This can happen if the installation was performed
incorrectly
  Separate /var ... OK
Discard is used ... FAILED - 'discard' mount option was not added or got
removed
Basic storage ... OK
  Initialized VG ... OK
  Initialized Thin Pool ... OK
  Initialized LVs ... OK
Thin storage ... OK
Checking available space in thinpool ... OK
  Checking thinpool auto-extend ... OK

Another question : Where do I define the Ovirt manager address.
