You can make use of virt-p2v utility to move a guest from vmware player
to ovirt. Boot the
guest from virt-p2v iso and connect it to virt-v2v conversion server and
migrate the virtual

machine.

Punit,

Create that script manually, Refer :
https://www.mail-archive.com/users@ovirt.org/msg20467.html

or you can simply run ;

#source /etc/ovirt-engine/engine.conf.d/10-setup-database.conf

#PGPASSWORD=$ENGINE_DB_PASSWORD psql -U postgres -d engine -c select vm_name,
image_group_id,image_guid from vm_device,
vm_static,images where vm_name in('CentOS') and vm_device.type='disk'
and vm_device.device='disk' and vm_device.vm_id=vm_static.vm_guid and
images.image_group_id=vm_device.device_id order by vm_name ;

Hello,

File /usr/share/vdsm/storage/sdc.py, line 171, in _findUnfetchedDomain
raise se.StorageDomainDoesNotExist(sdUUID)
StorageDomainDoesNotExist: Storage domain does not exist:

I am afraid but it looks like the vg
(483d30f6-d403-4c40-b30f-4236b87413f2) either no
longer present on the system (got overwritten) or having dificullties in
getting activated.

check vgs -a and pvs -a(run on the host) output and confirm whether
the vg is in

actual present or not. Also check belwo commands output.

From a quick glance I can see you had some connectivity issues
with your vdsm host? this is probably the reboot you refer to.
After that I see at engine log the following -

OneVGReturnForXmlRpc [mStatus=StatusForXmlRpc [mCode=506,
mMessage=Volume Group does not exist: ('vg_uuid:
7OKSEI-SprM-3NlZ-dl5y-4vTp-2mFd-zrcPY7',)]]

Looks like you have an issue with one of your VGs?

CC'ing someone who might be more of a help

Subject: [ovirt-users] Mount crashed vm image.

Hi all

i migrated a win 2008 server image from kvm to ovirt about a month back,
it has been running fine until yesterday when is crashed and wouldn't
restart.

Did you created snapshots which you can recover from?

i have tried booting from cd image and repairing the image and tried redoing
the boot
sectors but nothing seems to be working at this stage. my question is
can i somehow mount
this image as a partition or is there any other way to access the data
on the image without the image being up and running so that i can
retrieve the data on it?
i have installed a new windows vm and re-installed the required apps,
but need to get the user data from the crashed image now?

You can try to detach the disk from the VM and attach it to another VM.

First check the image integrity by running qemu-img check image_path
command
against it. qemu-img also has option to correct the corruption if
there is any.

You can use *libguestfs* to access data from virtual machine (VM) disk
images.

for more information visit: http://libguestfs.org/

Prasad Mukhedkar
