[ovirt-users] OVirt Upgrade from 4.3 to 4.4 - Hosted engine

2020-05-23 Thread ccesario
Hello,
Could someone please inform if Upgrade from OVirt 4.3 to 4.4 when using Hosted
engine is it supported !? According the documentation
https://www.ovirt.org/documentation/upgrade_guide/#Upgrading_from_4-3 the
upgrade procedure make reference only to "standalone engine".
If it is supported, what is correct steps to do it?

Best regards
Carlos

[ovirt-users] Virtual machine replica - DR

2020-04-26 Thread ccesario
Hello,
Does someone know any tool/method to replicate the VMS from a "Production"
Cluster to "Secondary" Cluster, to provide a DR solution without Storage
replication dependency or Gluster Storage.
Like Veeam, Zerto toosl do with other hypervisors.

Is there anyway, tool, product to do it!?

[ovirt-users] Re: DHCP Client in Guest VM does not work on ovirtmgmt

2019-11-13 Thread ccesario
Hi folks,

After several tests and a bit talk with Dominik via IRC, the problem it was
found.
To sum up, the problem it was in my side, once Im using bonding mode 2 (I read
in some local that no needed switch config), but Dominik correct me that it is
needed a config in switch side. After it the DHCP client it worked as expected.

IMHO would be nice, Ovirt support bond0 or nic teaming, like VMware, where in
some cases there is no needed special config on network/switch side and we
still have some redundancy and availability.

Thank you all by help.

Yes, it is able, it is on the same VLAN.
If I configure the ovirtmgmt interface as DHCP, it works. The DHCP delivery IP
to ovirtmgmt interface.

The problem it seems with VMS using this network.

I can see the packets flow by ovirtmgmt interface but I can' t see the

But in bond0.10 interface (my bridge interface) I can see the traffic from my

it seems that drag and drop function does not working as expected in Setup Host

It is not possibel remove NIC interface a interface from a Bond config.
When I tried move a interface to outside Bond cofing, all block is moved
instead of only the specific interface .

Screenshots abut this

[ovirt-users] DHCP Client in Guest VM does not work on ovirtmgmt

2019-10-24 Thread ccesario
Hello,
Is there any special config to usage dhcp client on Guest VM using
ovirtmgmt/ovirtmgmt vnic profile ?

Currently I have a VM using the ovirtmgmt/ovirtmgmt NIC profile and this
interface is configured as DHCP client, and this does not work when using
ovirtmgmt/ovirtmgmt as NIC profile. But if I assign manual IP address from the
same range of DHCP server the comunication it works.

And If usage other NIC profile in other VLAN with other DHCP server it works.

It seems ovirtmgmt/ovirtmgmt profile filter the DHCP protocol.

Could someone has idea to allow DHCP protocol works on ovirtmgmt/ovirtmgmt NIC
profile?

Best regards
