It would be great as any of you provide any pointer on this issue.

I tried looking into the LVM structure that is created by Ovirt but it
seems a bit complex.
Please let me know the proper solution (if there is any) for backing

Hi all,

I am using ovirt 3.3 on Centos6. Things were running fine untill I had
nfs as the deata storage for my data center.
Now I have created a new data center of type iscsi, but I am not able
to add the iscsi storage to this Datacenter.

This is all what i did.

1I created a new datacenter of type iscsi
2configured a cluster to this datacenter
3moved my host to this cluster.
4Now navigated to the storage tab
5Clicked on new domain
6selected data/iscsi
7discovered the iscsi iqn

but when I login to that iqn the login is not successful.
I am attaching you a screenshot.

Thanks.

[Users] could not add iscsi disk in ovirt.

2013-09-28 Thread Saurabh

Hi guys,
I am running ovirt with NFS as storage pool. Everything is working quite
fine for me. The only problem is I could not add the a new iscsi disk in
Disk tab.
When I go to the Disk tab there is an option of adding new disk from
internal storage and another option is add External (Direct Lun). When I
opt for the External (Direct LUN), I am able to discover the Lun but
could not log in to that lun using the ovirt web console. Whereas when I
try to login to that lun using the isciadm in command line I am able to
login.

Any help??

[Users] Cannot delete VM

2012-03-19 Thread Saurabh Bathe
Hi,

I installed ovirt on F16 following the installation doc. The
installation was a breeze and was also able to add a ovirt-node via
the web console.
I created a VM on the host (using a local storage domain on the same
host). But I cannot delete the VM now, either via the webadmin console
(which says Browser Firefox version 10 is currently not supported)
or via the cli. The webadmin console says Failed to remove VM test
(User: admin@internal).). Attaching vdsm.log snippet from ovirt-node.
It says
Thread-207010::ERROR::2012-03-19
11:42:02,591::dispatcher::90::Storage.Dispatcher.Protect::(run)
{'status': {'message': Volume does not exist:
('c0cbe099-aa2d-444e-a734-1de7d9171498',), 'code': 201}}

But I can see the file is present on the file system.
[root@ovirt-node ~]# find /data -name
'c0cbe099-aa2d-444e-a734-1de7d9171498*'/data/images/rhev/ff81a0d4-b132-4d9b-972a-1a75319fd061/images/c0219347-b425-4ee6-a6e1-c0fdd1a8a71d/c0cbe099-aa2d-444e-a734-1de7d9171498

Also, running psql engine -c SELECT * from vm_static where vm_name
ilike 'test'; on the ovirt-manager returns:
