You are correct. The search using alias is working as expected.
I agree to remove search by name, that seems resolved by the automation,
but doesn't make any sense there.

As far as I see you can search for the name but you don't know what to
search since only the alias is exposed in th list, so I am not sure what is
the meaning of searching on something we don't display , I would remove the
option to search by name
