[ovirt-users] VM Portal. User can't access the details box

2021-02-24 Thread Nicolás

Hi,

We're running oVirt 4.1.8. We make an intense use of the VM Portal, as
our students use it to access and handle their machines. We're currently
having an issue with just one of our users. He claims that he created a
VM, and when tried to edit its details (clicking on the pencil), a
screen stating that the "VM Portal is experiencing some issues" is shown
(screenshot added).

I granted a UserRole permission on a user I handle, and I don't
experience that problem, I can edit the VM with no issues. The user also
states that this happens on any VM he creates.

I see nothing relevant in the log regarding this issue.

Please, any hint how to debug this?

Thanks.

Nicolás

[ovirt-users] VM Portal on a stand alone server

2020-07-15 Thread gal . villaret
Hi Folks,

I'm rather new to oVirt and loving it.
running 4.4.1.
I would like to be able to run the VM Portal on a stand-alone server for
security concerns.

Can anyone point in the right direction for achieving this?

Thanks,

[ovirt-users] VM Portal --> Windows SSO

2020-05-05 Thread Andrey Rusakov
Hi,

Resently I configure oVirt, FreeIPA and Windows Guest VM.
I would like to SSO to Windows VM thrue VM portal or Rest API (dowloading spice
config) or Admin Port ...
I don't see any login attemps in log file, errors, or ...

I found a lot of docs for SSO setup - it is so simple (Agent, Correct Domain
name in login profile ...), But at the end i found that SSO module was deleted
from 4.3 agent. Is it true?

The major question - Is it working ?

[ovirt-users] VM Portal please add search filter box and list view as in Administration portal

2019-07-09 Thread Vrgotic, Marko
Dear oVirt,

This email has bounced two times already, and I am not sure what is wrong.
Hopefully you get it this time.

 Request is below.

Sent from my iPhone

Dear oVirt,

Would it be possible to discuss/consider adding search/filter field for VM
Portal, resembling one in Administration Portal?

I have 60 users with over 500VMs and it would be really good to have this
option. At this moment is virtually impossible to use the VMPortal due to poor
view options.

We are currently running oVirt 4.3.3.

Hi,
When opening the web-ui with the admin@internal user, I get the message "Sorry,

Back to the admin portal > Events, nothing has been logged. Nothing in
/var/log/ovirt-engine/ui.log, server.log or engine.log either.
Any suggestion?

this two issues are being tracked here:
add disk: https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-web-ui/issues/489
add nic: https://github.com/oVirt/ovirt-web-ui/issues/488

we are starting to develop them very soon (maybe today :) )

[ovirt-users] VM Portal - ADD Nic

2018-02-16 Thread Thomas Fecke
Hey Guys,

We got about 50 Users and 50 VLANS. Every User has his own Vlan.

With 4.1 they could login in that User Portal. Select an Template or create a
new VM. Add a Disk and connect to there Nic.

I see that is no option to add a Disk anymore with 4.2 -> okay that's fine for
me

So they just can use Templates. But, there is now option to add the VM to a
nic. So I guess the Template nic is being used.

But our Templates don't got a nic because the user has his own networks.

That mean I need to add about XX more Templates with every nic in it?

Oh common :)

No way to add a nic via VM Portal? That really make the VM Portal unusable for
us

We can´t be the only one using Templates like that. Now every VM set up in VM
Portal is in one network, that's not good or do I miss something?

Re: [ovirt-users] VM Portal looking for translators

2017-08-22 Thread Jakub Niedermertl
Hi Doug,

there is no extra permission needed. As said above ovirt-web-ui project is
open to all registered Zanata users. One just need to be a member of
language group of language one wants to translate.

In this case probably Brazilian Portuguese [1]. Please follow the link and
request a language group membership [2]. This request needs to be approved
by pt-br language group coordinator. The approval usually comes in days.
Once a user is a member of a language group, (s)he can edit translations of
all open projects in Zanata, including ovirt-web-ui.

ovirt-web-ui Zanata project should be open to all registered translators.

The suspicion is correct - one really needs to be an approved member of a
language group to be able to edit translations of that particular language.
Otherwise red padlock icon is shown with pretty counter-intuitive text
"This project-version is readonly. It cannot be edited."

Hi,

Why do I see a red lock on the translation page claiming "This

(Not sure if related: Requested access to some language groups like
