Re: [SOGo] Bind LDAP

I think you should set the following in your SOGoUserSources section: ... bindDN = cn=,dc=,dc=fr; bindPassword = Replace the values with the right ones depending on your ldap configuration. But I don't understand what's bindPassword. Our LDAP is used for authentication (only) for all server, and the authentication don't need a password. Thanks for you ansers. Regards. Re: [SOGo] Bind LDAP
Hi Albert, the bindPassword is the password of the LDAP account defined in bindDN. The bindDN is the ldap account SOGo uses for LDAP queries. Try the following: - create an LDAP account for sogo (for example uid=sogo,ou=People,dc=example,dc=com) - assign a password to this LDAP account - use the LDAP account mentioned above as bindDN and the assigned password as bindPassword I think, the bindPassword argument is mandatory, but i'm not sure. Re: [SOGo] sope49-gdl1-oracle - update instantclient
The ORACLE_VERSION is defined in the file SOPE/sope-gdl1/Oracle8/GNUmakefile . So you have to edit this file and recompil sope. Fabrice 2010/10/30 s...@databee.org Hi, I installed sogo via yum rpms and I like to use sogo with oracle. Unfortunatly, I get errors like this one: Oct 30 00:13:29 sogod [19449]: [ERROR] 0x0x9ae3528[WOWatchDog] an exception occured in runloop InvalidAdaptorBundleException: 0x9d07a90 NAME:InvalidAdaptorBundleException REASON:Cannot load adaptor bundle 'Oracle8' INFO:(nil) Error (objc-load):libocci.so.10.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I think, the basic problem is, that I have the newest Oracle Instantclient for use with oracle 11g installed. My librrary is named libocci.so.11.1 How can I relink/recompile the sope49-gdl1-oracle? Thanks for your help in advance Robbie -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: [SOGo] general questions regarding SOGo install
Hi Francis 1st: you CAN use SOGo with an external IMAP server, the users must have the same credentials at SOGo which they use at the imap server (username/password or emailaddress/password). You have to configure the IMAP host via defaults and, if the users must log on to IMAP with the mail address, you have to tell SOGo to do so. If you install SOGo from repo, Cyrus will be installed with it, but you may ignore it, just leave it unconfigured. But yes, SOGo can be used with external imap servers. On the machine im planning to install SOGo runs already a postfix, only used to send mails to my mail-address if the raid fails or backups with errors appear. Backup software is bacula (with sqlite3). The server is also used as an PDC for our domain. Is it possible to use the external mail provider with SOGo? If so, is there anything i have to keep an eye on? Cyrus still needed, if the above is possible? Do i really need an LDAP server? IMHO this is kinda too much for our little company. I think this is it for now, but be prepared for more questions from me. (first time SOGo install, also not too experienced in all this groupware, mta stuff). greetings francis -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
