Re: [SOGo] Login using email address

You need to define to define bindFields, which is an array of LDAP fields you
want to provide to authenticate.

And if you are using MySQL as backend instead of LDAP?

Re: [SOGo] SOGo and openchange installation problem

2011-01-25 Thread Carsten Laun-De Lellis
Hi

I’ve gone thru the installation process once more and I seem to be a step
further.

The only error message I actually get is:

This is gnustep-make 2.2.0. Type 'make print-gnustep-make-help' for help.

Package libmapistore was not found in the pkg-config search path.

Perhaps you should add the directory containing `libmapistore.pc'

to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable

No package 'libmapistore' found

Cannot build the OpenChange SOGo backend (empty CFLAGS for libmapistore)

The output of locate libmapistore.pc is

/usr/local/samba/lib/pkgconfig/libmapistore.pc

And I also have an entry in my .bashrc file:

samba=/usr/local/samba

export PATH=${samba}/bin:${samba}/sbin:$PATH

export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=${samba}/lib/pkgconfig

source /usr/share/GNUstep/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh

So I don’t have any idea where to look at.

You must compile the bundle as you compile SOGo. So you probably forgot to
source your GNUstep.sh. You'll also need to set the variable
PKG_CONFIG_PATH. You should add something like that to your .bashrc:

samba=/usr/local/samba
export PATH=${samba}/bin:${samba}/sbin:$PATH
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=${samba}/lib/pkgconfig

source /usr/share/GNUstep/Makefiles/GNUstep.sh

Sorry, i didn't see that... but that implies you use the inetOrgPerson
in your ldap structure, but virtualmin wants to use the Person object,
that doesn't contain the email address.

So maybe i should rephrase the question now: anyone who is using the
combi SOGo/VirtualMin, both with ldap authentication? If this has been
covered / explained, please send me to the correct link...

Hi all

Since a few days i am playing with SOGo as a replacement (in the near
future :) ) for outlook and exchange.
I have a setup using postgresql and openldap, and have more than one
domain on the server (or will have, cause it's running on the test
server now). The servers are under virtualmin.

I am trying to find if it is possible to logon to SOGo using an
emailadress instead of the uid. I can change the uid to be an email
adress, but then postfix as mailserver starts complaining.

Has anyone any experience with such a setup?

To quote Fabrice's answer to the same question yesterday, "Yes, with
SOGoForceIMAPLoginWithEmail = YES; parameter."

Oleska, good point. I just tested on my server, and I could
successfully login with an email address with or without the
SOGoForceIMAPLoginWithEmail parameter being set. I think it's because,
as you said, I have email addresses assigned to the users in the LDAP
directory. I'm not too sure how that parameter would work if email
addresses weren't assigned in LDAP. I have to admit I'm a little
confused on this and probably answered the question too soon.

Re: [SOGo] UTC Yes or No?

2011-01-25 Thread André Schild

Another question on the same subject,

why do we need to specify the timezone ?
Would it not be possible to detect the correct timezone from
the client os ?

That would help in most cases, even when you have
computers spread across different timezones

same here, i forgot to edit timezone in thunderbird-integrator so i
had to adjust them manually.

cheers.

E.g., I assigned email addresses to uuids, however, thank you for the parameter.

[SOGo] kerberos authentication

2011-01-25 Thread marco.bencivenni
Dear all,

I read that SOGo supports Kerberos authentication, but I can't find a guide or
example that explains the configuration.
Is there someone that has an experience or documentation about this topic?

Thanks in advance for the support,
Marco

[SOGo] Calendar issues after upgrade

2011-01-25 Thread Brian Lockwood
Apologies for a long post. Also, u...@sogo.nu seems to be the new place to
post sogo messages as my messages to s...@opengroupware.org do not appear.

I use SOGo for the school email system but wanted to expand use of the
calendar. Unfortunately it seems to have broken, probably since the 1.33
upgrade.
I get errors in the sogo log (placed below this message).

When I upgraded, I ran a database upgrade script that came with the upgrade.
Mail and address books all seem fine for all users.
I added a field into my sogobrianloc00117296d89 table of the datatype
varchar(10) called c_category and this seemed to make the problem go away.

New calendars do not show the error.
Consequently, I could export my calendars, delete the calendar and reimport.
However I do have a large number of users and before I go mucking about with
the database I wanted some advice or suggestions as to where I might have
gone wrong on doing the upgrade.

Error from log below this line.
