If Lightning is manually installed ( that is, without the update server),
the time zone is correctly detected. So - what could possibly be causing
this change in TimeZone, when using the update server and the integrator
extension to install lightning and the connector ?

[SOGo] TimeZone inconsistencies in Lightning ( Inverse ed. ) ?

2011-02-27 Thread Mohit Chawla
Hi,

When installing the thunderbird extensions using an update server, isn't
Lightning (inverse edition) supposed
to gather the TimeZone information from the SOGo server as well ?

On SOGo-1.3.4 ( compiled from source) on Ubuntu Lucid, with Thunderbird
3.1.7 ( on Windows ), here's the scenario:

1) The SOGoTimeZone parameter is set to Asia/Calcutta.

2) Install SOGo extensions in Thunderbird, using an update server.

3) Event times in Thunderbird don't look right - the timezone for Lightning
is set to America/Montreal by default.

4) Asia/Calcutta timezone isn't listed in Lightning options. But
Asia/Kolkata is.

5) Change the timezone in Lightning to Asia/Kolkata. Event times in
Lightning and SOGo web interface look right.

6) However, in the vCal file - the time zone still appears as
America/Montreal. What gives ?

Was a bug. Fixed now. Will be released in v1.3.6.

[SOGo] SOGO-Tool

2011-02-27 Thread Dominique

Hi,

I must be tired, but I can seen to have the sogo-tool working. I have
simple setup my cyrus and mysql on Ubuntu server 10.04 x64. All works
fine. I just want to be able to do a backup of all config and users
files. I read sogo-tool was the way. OK.

But where is it? and what are the parameters because I can't seen to
find anything tonight.

If I try sogo-tool backup /ALL, I get:
2011-02-27 22:24:16.055 sogo-tool[6222] No LDAP source is configured in
the SOGo configuration of this account. Please make sure to use this
tool under the same username as SOGo.
which does not surprise me since I have no LDAP configured... But where
do I configure SOGO-tool?

Thanks,

Dominique

[SOGo] Scalability - SQL and sieve backends question

2011-02-27 Thread IB

Hello,

(1)
Is there any way to configure sogo 1.3.5+ to get SQL server address for user folders (books and
cals) from user LDAP attribute (this could help in big scenarios if you have many thousands of users
and want to split them between many SQL backend servers)?

(2)
Is there any way to configure sogo 1.3.5+ to get sieve server address from user LDAP account data
(like we can with IMAP?) or force sogo to use IMAP server address got for sieve server too (this
could help splitting sieve between many backend servers like we can do with IMAP now)?

Thank you for help.

Pawel

It does not exist at all.
If I remember well this is because AJAX is used for the page.

Re: [SOGo] Unknown column 'c_categories' in 'field list'

2011-02-27 Thread mourik jan heupink

Hi,

For the archives:

I had thye same problem and reapplied the update sql scripts. However
I am not sure of they work with non postgresql databases.

Turns out that somehow the update script had NOT run, or not
successfully at least.

I ran it again, twice in fact, and first time in completed without any
output, second time it complained about duplicate folder names. (so
folders had been created with the first run)

Checking with phpMyAdmin confirmed that the c_categories field exists now.

And further to this:

I am not sure of they work with non postgresql databases.
It works fine with mysql. Su-ed to sogo user first, but perhaps that
step is not required.

Have a nice sunday!

I'm using SOGo with Kontact from KDEPIM 4.6 (their beta(?) release). Except
for one crasher (which I should report already) everything works perfectly.
Note that I have this running on my secondary computer
so it hasn't received as much testing from me.

I've contacted Christoph Goehre (packager of Icedove) about this, when I
understand him well, there are no problems with Icodove 3.1.7 from
experimental. He says Icedove 3.1.8 (what was planned for 8th February,
but not released yet) will be uploaded into unstable.

Re: [SOGo] Sieve not working

2011-02-27 Thread André Schild

It is normal that the filters are not imported.
With sogo you can (and have to) define your new rules.

Make sure the sieve port matches the one of you server.
Previously Port 2 as used by cyrus and many others was used.
The official IANA port for sieve is 4190...

Perhaps your sieve server also uses this one ?

In dovecot you have to enable managesieve in the configuration, Cyrus, I
think, too, or you use a dedicated server:

Is this your sieve server - named as "sieverserve" or is this a string
like
"example.com"?
Where is your sieve server located? At localhost just write
"sieve://localhost".

I tried it once, but it was not working. Neither address book nor
calendar was working as expected. I heard of a new groupdav system for
kdepim with akonadi, so I will retry if kdepim 4.6 finally hit the
ground.

The next problem was that I had to support windows as well (now almost
all of my clients are moved to linux) and this is not that easy with
kontact. So currently my clients use thunderbird.
