Re: [SOGo] SOGo in Thunderbird: Problem with wrong certificate

2011-04-07 Thread Yvan LE BOUFFANT
Hello, the only answer I know to that problem is to import the
certificate manually.

This is not a problem of SOGo, but thunderbird.
A quick look on a web search engine may get you out of this trouble
(typing like add thunderbird certificate for example).

I hope this will help you.

Hello,

i am using the sogo-addon (3.104) for Thunderbird. Unfortunaly my
LAN-Server is sending an wrong certificate (cause it is a self-signed
Root-certificate for a wrong host). I cannot change this.
When i connect to the adressbook with CardDAV, a message appears,
telling my about the wrong certificate, but i have only the option to
view the certificate or to cancel. Is there a workaround to accept
this certificate even if its wrong?

Thanks

Hello,

is Outlook 2010 already supported with TP8?
I'm having some trouble to connect it to openchange.

Cheers,

 Inverse is proud to announce the eighth downloadable version of SOGo ZEG
 with native Microsoft Outlook compatibility.

 The virtual appliance consists of the latest development version of
 SOGo, SOPE and OpenChange, properly installed and configured. Note that
 the native Microsoft Outlook compatibility is still *considered as
 experimental*. The fundamentals have been developed and the progress
 towards an end-user usable version will be fast from now on.

 Nonetheless, we release this Technology Preview ZEG edition to show
 how promising this is.

 == Getting it ==

 To download ZEG Technology Preview, simply point your browser to
 http://www.sogo.nu/english/downloads/zeg.html

 Look for Virtual Appliance - Native Outlook Compatibility.

 For configuration instructions, look at the following FAQ:
 http://www.sogo.nu/english/nc/support/faq/article/how-to-configure-outlook-to-work-with-openchange.html

 == Changes ==

 Here is a list of changes performed by the Inverse team since TP7 was
 released :

  * Added initial recurrence support for events and tasks
  * Added initial support for mail subfolders
  * Fixed handle issues which could cause Outlook to disconnect momentarily
  * Various other small bug fixes and minor improvements

 == Upcoming improvements ==

 The follow improvements will occur in the next following days, likely
 resulting in a TP9 :

  * Integrate the mapistore_v2 work which will allow us to support all
 SOGo user folders and all SOGo users easily (making freebusy lookup for
 other users more easy)
  * Add Cached Exchange Mode support
  * Add support for recurrence exceptions
  * Add support for reminders
  * Speedup of the IMAP accesses

 == Installation / Update ==

 Both SOGo and SOPE were installed from the Monotone repository while
 OpenChange was installed using the sogo branch from their official
 Subversion server.
 To update those components on ZEG from TP4 and upward, simply sudo as
 root. Then run the following script :

 /home/sogo/update.sh

 You might want to restart Outlook after the update.

 == Helping Out ==

 There are many ways you can help us. You can:

  * Spread the good word about this technology preview!
  * Follow our development in the users@sogo.nu mailing list and update
 regularly the components mentioned above
  * Contact us if you want to sponsor specific features with regard to
 Outlook / SOGo compatibility

 Thanks,

Yes, I've seen this FAQ entry. But as it is from january, I just had

supported is already obsolete.

Patience, Grasshopper ... ;-)
And, soon doesn't mean soon in two weeks but soon after enabling
the 2003-Feature.

What I know, there is a bigger difference by accessing (simulating) an
Exchange 2003 and an Exchange 2008 (something in the
MAPI-Protocol-Stack), so as a developer you have to work step by step on it.
I thin, there are more running Exchange 2003 to replace with SOGo than
newer ones ...

IHMO, Inverse will tell us quickly, when 2007/2010 comes up.

 Now I'm asking me is that the correct Syntax for SOGoUserSources
 to authenticate against the database from Apache James?

 SOGoUserSources =
 (
 {
 type = sql;
 id = directory;
 viewURL = postgresql://james:james@192.168.0.60:5432/james/james_user;
 canAuthenticate = YES;
 isAddressBook = NO;
 userPasswordAlgorithm = md5;
 }
 );

 thanks for help and suggestions

 You have to pass the fields from the db to sogo specifically, as
 detailed in the documentation (for example name should be c_name).
 You can achieve this with a view in your db that sogo can call.

 Hello Mark,

 After I've taken a look in the manual again, I'm a little bit

 to write it correct. It's possible to write me an example for
 viewURL and c_name?

 kind regards

This is my view, but it obviously only works with my DB. You will need
create the view dependant on the column names in your existing DB...

create view sogo_auth as (select userid || '@' || domain as c_uid,
userid || '@' || domain as c_name, password as c_password, fullname as
c_cn, userid || '@' || domain as mail from users where status in (1,2));

sogo is looking for c_uid, c_name, c_password, c_cn and mail.

[SOGo] Separate read/write database sources?

2011-04-07 Thread Ron Miller

Hello,

I'm looking at options to deploy SOGo in a clustered configuration with
the database replicated to slaves for local access. This will require
me to define the local slave node as a read-only source with the master
being the only node which can accept writes. Is there a means to define
separate read-only and write databases for SOGo that I'm just not
catching in the docs?

Thanks,

No, not possible right now. We have a patch around to _create and use_
a local database together with one that is centralized for
sogo_folder_info and sogo_user_profile tables.
