Hmmm, I have Windows firewall turned on... I'l try to turn off tomorrow.
What ports are used by Outlook MAPI when connecting to Openchange? TCP 135?

Re: [SOGo] Outlook 2003 + ZEG

2011-08-29 Thread Jovan Malesevic
I cannot find a way to set Openchange to work... I made Camtasia video
which shows my trying to set it. Please, refer to the video, maybe
someone can observe what is the problem...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfZ5l9u9Y4s

Maybe I have to change ZEG's /etc/hosts file? Or do I have to setup DNS
server on my network?

No, it is in local network. OpenChange server is actually ZEG
appliance, downloaded recently from SOGo website, running in
VirtualBox. Mozilla Thunderbird and WEB interface is working OK,
there is problem with Openchange only.

Thank you for quick response.

Ludovic answer this few days ago:

Here's my take on this.

Porting the SOGo Connector/Integrator is generally not long.

What's long is porting all the improvements we've done to Lightning.

When we did the changes back in Lightning 0.9, we submitted all of
them to Mozilla for inclusion. Not all of them were included (lack of
time from their side). Our patches then bitrotted.

When we ported them again to Thunderbird 3.1, we resubmitted patches
but again, not all of them were included and they bitrotted again.

We're now pretty much down to three patches to be included so we
don't have to modify Lightning again. Those are:

   1. refresh killer:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=502936

   2. offline mode support:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380060
   3. hooks / stubs mechanisms:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=586276

The last one will allow us to move our ACL code directly in the SOGo
Connector/Integrator extensions. So we won't have to modify Lightning
anymore.

That being said, those 3 bugs should be fixed for Lightning 1.0. You
should all vote on the bugs so the patches finally get included.

Lightning 1.0 will most likely require Thunderbird 7. If that's the
case, that's the version we'll support after 3.1.

[SOGo] Hook proposal

2011-08-29 Thread Helge Kraak

Hi,

I wanted to propose another Hook which I think SOGo maybe
should support. I'd like to put it up for discussion:

On top of the
SOGo GUI we have the navigation links 'calendar', 'contacts', 'mail' and
'settings'. I think it would be great if one could easily add more
links, so that it would be possible to integrate other solutions in
which one could also integrate links back to the SOGo GUI.

Would it
make sense to implement it this way or are there other easier ways to
accomplish this task?

Best regards

Helge

Re: [SOGo] Outlook 2003 + ZEG

2011-08-29 Thread Jovan Malesevic
I have similar problem with Outlook 2007:

1. I have created the new Windows account (I want to be sure to use clear
user profile)
2. In c:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts added line "192.168.1.119
sogo.openchange.local sogo". It responds fine while pinging.
3. In Control Panel -> Mail created new Outlook profile.
4. Selected "Manually configure server settings or additional server types"
-> Next
5. Selected Microsoft Exchange -> Next
6. Microsoft Exchange server: 192.168.1.119 -> "Use Cached Exchange Mode"
leaved checked -> User Name: openchange -> More Settings.
7. Error "The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft
Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete
this action" appears -> Click OK.
8. Window "Microsoft Exchange" appears. There are two fields: Microsoft
Exchange server: 192.168.1.119 and Mailbox: openchange. Click OK.
9. On Security tab checked "Always prompt for logon credentials". Other
options ("Encrypt data between Microsoft Office Outlook and Microsoft
Exchange: checked" and "Logon network security: Negotiate Authentication"),
leaved as they are (didn't changed) -> Click OK -> Click Next -> Click
Finish -> Click OK in Mail window.
10. When I try to start Microsoft Outlook 2007, it asks me for username and
password - I used openchange for both of them. -> Click OK
11. Again appears same error window "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is
unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action".
-> Click OK.
12. After that, again shows window "Microsoft Exchange" like before (step
8). After clicking OK, message "Cannot open your default e-mail folders. The
file c:\Documents and settings\Admin\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook1.ost is not an offline folder file." appears.

I cannot see where I made mistake :S

When I clik on Check Name, it cannot resolve "openchange". Click OK.
