Did you add this shared address book to the users address books in the web interface? Only address books visible in the web interface can be automatically discovered by CardDAV-Sync on the android. ok, i figured it out, it was the wrong encoding of the .ics file. our old calendar (meetingmaker) was exporting in ISO-8859-1 and I had to convert it first to UTF-8 because of the umlauts.
