I had problems with all-day events created by MS Outlook using the MS
Exchange connection on my SOGo server. Therefore I decided to test it on
the latest ZEG edition but the problem persist.

I setup SOGo, system and Windows to use the same timezone in ZEG. I
found a strange behavior - if the timezone is GMT or any other GMT +h
zone then all all-day events created with MS Outlook (2007, 2010) go one
day back in the web interface. For example if I create an all-day event
to happen on 25th Oct in Outlook it is displayed as an all-day event on
24th Oct in SOGo.

If I setup the time zone as any GMT -h zone everything works fine.

Michal Kminek

Can you retest with the next nightlies. The timezone files have been
regenerated, so it shoult not fix the problem with existing events but it should
for new ones...

The fix will be part of 2.0.2, which is due monday or tuesday...

That seems to be the same bug I reported Wednesday. My bug occurs from the web
UI : did you tried also ?
Also the bug I encounter appears for a few hours/days a disappear without any
config change.

So this could be related to timezones ?

You are right, it still happens.
But it is really rare now, since 1.3.18.

Seems to be a race condition, as it only happens now and then.

Thanks a lot in advance for any helpful suggestions. BTW: Can
somebody tell me bug-ID of the case below? I can't find it in BTS

AFAIK There wasn't a bug report opened in the ticket system.
It was solved after a discussion with Ludovic and Francis about checking
for valid email addresses in several input fields in preferences.

Please open a new one for this.

[SOGo] issue with Funambol and SOGo -- calendar reminders for old events

2012-10-22 Thread mayak-cq
Hi All,

I have an issue where multiple outlook clients sync to a common calendar
(shared calendar).

After each sync with Funambol, the outlook reminder window comes up
saying event is overdue ...

Is there a way to expire past calendar events in sogo to avoid this?

Thanks

really not sure, if I understand correctly, so please forgive if it is nonsense.

Maybe you can use automx with sogosync for Outlook-Anywhere?

Kind regards

[SOGo] Reverse Proxy with SOGo

2012-10-22 Thread Remi Verchere
Hello,

I have a working SOGo v2 installation, with an Apache proxy configuration
on the mail server for webmail access.

For security purposes, I need to separate the webmail access and imap/smtp
services.

My Idea is to install a reverse-proxy on a 2nd server, that redirects to
the current apache working webmail.
I try to set-up nginx without success.

So, can I do the following, and if possible do you have working
configurations ?
- User connects to nginx on server A, which proxifies to apache on server
B, which proxifies to SOGo on server B
or
- User connects to nginx on server A, which directly proxifies to SOGo on
server B

Thanks for your support,

Rémi

[SOGo] Update from 1.3.11 to 2.0.1

2012-10-22 Thread fede777
Hi everyone, in my company we currently have sogo 1.3.11 installed:

administrator@sogo:~$ dpkg -l sogo
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Cfg-files/Unpacked/Failed-cfg/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend
|/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required (Status,Err: uppercase=bad)
||/ Name   VersionDescription
+++-==-==-
ii sogo 1.3.11 a modern and scalable groupware

And by doing administrator@sogo:~$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -s we would be
going to version:

Conf sogo (2.0.1-1 Inverse Ubuntu distribution:inverse.ca)

Is there any consideration we might need to know? can I just do the upgrade?

We already made a snapshot of the VM, but it's always safe to have any help.

Thanks, Fede.

You probably want to check the Scripts directory (in tar dist--not
sure where this lives in your distro) as I believe there has been a
couple of database schema updates since 1.3.11. Other than that, just
update the files and restart all of the services.
