Re: [SOGo] Multiple E-Mail-Accounts using LDAP

2013-06-23 Thread Jan Schmidt
Hi everybody,

maybe my first mail was a bit unclear, sorry. The mailserver is already
running. We are using dovecot+postfix with a ldap backend. Because of
some special conditions, the mail-entries in the ldap-directory are
seperated from the user-entries. Aliases and everyting is working well.

For me, one big advantage of SOGo is, that it can display multiple
imap-accounts in a thinderbird-like style (thanks to Steve for that
comparison ;) ). Now I want SOGo to add all of these imap-accounts a
user has access to automatically to the webinterface. I tried defining
mutliple mail-attributes in the user-entry. But that is not working.
In SOGo I just could use these extra-entries as Sender-Names in the
Compose-Window but it's not displaying these additional entries as
additional imap-account of the user. Is there a way of telling sogo to
create that thunderbird-like view? The easiest way would be to define
ldap-search returning all imap-accounts of a user. But as i said above,
the user-entries are not used in the mailserver, hence I'm free in
adding/changing attributes :)

Thanks in advance.
Regards jan

Through Webmin you can clone the sogo1 user account and add as
 many accounts as you wish.

You clone the attributes in LDAP then create mailboxes in Cyrus (if
 that's what you're using)

Where you combine them into one user interface is in Thunderbird where
 you can list multiple mailboxes.

 Hi everybody,

i'm new to SOGo and I really like the features. I'm testing it at the
moment and I'm wondering wether it's possible to automatically add
 mutliple E-Mail-Adresses to one useraccount using a LDAP-Database. I
tried mutliple mail-attributes, but that was not working (some search
told me, you can add aliases like that...). Is there another way or do
the users have to add the other accounts manually?

 Thanks in advance for answers.

 Regards, Jan

[SOGo] Troubles with Installation on FreeBSD

2013-06-23 Thread Odhiambo Washington
Hello everyone,

Please pardon my intrusion. I am a new member and so green and only heard
about SOGo recently.
Besides, I am on an _mostly_ unsupported platform - FreeBSD.

After successfully installing SOPE, I am trying to compile SOGo on FreeBSD
91. (amd64) and it fails at the stage shown below and I am wondering if
someone can guess the cause and the solution.

More questions after the error txt.

PS: Are there people running SOGo in production on FreeBSD??

On FreeBSD 8.4 (i386), I managed to successfully compile SOPE and SOGo -
both 2.0.5 versions. I found the link below where someone documented their
FreeBSD installation for an older version.
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.groupware.sogo.user/3507

However, I am not sure I understand what is being done at Step No.6. I am
going to read the documentation yes, but just following the HOWTO, I could
not proceed beyond step 6(ii)

[sogo@gw ~]$ mtn db init --db=~/db.mtn
mtn: misuse: database '/var/db/sogo/db.mtn' already exists
[sogo@gw ~]$ mtn --db=~/db.mtn pull kictanet.or.ke ke.or.kictanet.sope

consider using the URI calling syntax instead
mtn: doing anonymous pull; use -kKEYNAME if you need authentication
mtn: connecting to 'mtn://kictanet.or.ke'
mtn: include pattern 'ke.or.kictanet.sope'
mtn: exclude pattern ''

mtn: network error: failed to connect: Operation timed out

Can someone explain to me what should be done at this stage?
What is being pulled? From where?? What should I do in the face of the
messages shown?

Can I run SOGo with MySQL only without LDAP?

Thanks in advance

[SOGo] strange situation with shared folder in web interface SOGo

2013-06-23 Thread Oleg Osypchuk
hello! I have mail server Iredmail v 0.8.4 (postfix+Dovecot 1.2x) with
backend running on LDAP and SOGo 2.0.6. Something is strange when I try to
access shared folder. If I do everything via SOGo web-interface then user
(whom you sharing this folder with) can be added, rights can be assigned
but after that user can't see this shared folder on his account. If I do
the same via telnet by using SETACL then everything is OK! The above is
true only for sharing the folder. If I have to remove user's access from
shared folder or change user's access privileges - everything is okay again.
