RE: [SOGo] How to set up CardDav, CalDav etc for IMAP with eMClient
Hi, Well, I got it working. I had a bit of a Homer Simpson moment with a 'doh!' when I realized that I hadn't done some port configuration on my router and that was stopping comms coming into the network. As for the SSL, I'm am thinking that I hadn't restarted the httpd service at some point and that needed to be done to get eM Client to see the CalDAV/CardDAV properly. So, it all now seems to be working. I'm going to be giving eM Client a trial run over the next month alongside Outlook, but from initial mucking around this morning, it's looking likely that I will finally be able to move away from MS Outlook and keep my personal data off the public cloud! :) I had planned to do an OpenChange/Outlook implementation but that may no longer be necessary, for me at least. I will still potentially look to doing it, if only for demonstration purposes for potential commercial clients. But that can wait until ClearOS is ready for Samba4, etc. All that's left now is to get my antiquated Windows Mobile 6.1 smart phone to work with CalDAV/CardDAV. But that's likely to be a whole other story... I've changed something somewhere other than (etc/httpd/conf.d/) ssl.conf or SOGo.conf, but I can't figure out where and I only seem to be able to use 1234 at the moment! Anyway, to cut the long story short, I decided to have one last go connecting on 1234 via the following in eM Client and now it works, albeit with a server name warning on the certificate file: https://sogo.example.com:1234/SOGo/dav/username/ If I can ever figure out what I did to get it working I'll reply here. When on 443 or custom port 1234 I can do the web browser test you suggested and get the web page you got: -- An error occurred during object publishing no WebDAV GET support?! -- Therefore it would appear the problem is to do with the SSL somehow and how eM Client works with it. My thoughts are that it might be server certificate related but as yet I don't know precisely what might be wrong with it. Ah, it very well could be an SSL issue. I don't use SSL on my SOGo install (or very many things anywhere) because the NSA is already reading and storing all my private information and probably selling it to Google, China, and anybody else who wants it. Also generally speaking.. SSL tends to make a pretty damn easy thing turn into a bit more of a PIA then it's worth for me. You might try 8443 as it's a common alternate SSL port if you're not already using that. Maybe there's some SSL settings that need to be adjusted to match your port number. I'm sure there's some configuration in Apache needed. You might try to get it working without SSL then add SSL into the mix afterwards. I find that's generally easier when I have to do SSL. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

I've tried adding it to the WebserverResources directory, but SOGo still doesn't pick it up. Try placing it in /usr/sbin/Resources/sogod/Resources/ (adjust depending on where your sogod binary is located and create the Resources directory). [SOGo] Fun with Funambol
Okey dokey, Yet again I'm being an idiot. I've got SOGo working with eM Client mostly nicely, and have now installed the Funambol server on my mail server and the client (9.0.2) on my Windows Mobile 6.1 device. I can get the Contacts to sync, but not the Calendar or Tasks for which the sync runs, but nothing gets updated. I've checked the documentation and noticed that the SOGo advice on setting up the Funambol client is somewhat out of date - they removed the option for two-way, one-way sync a while ago in favour of two-way only. Maybe there are other things also that need checking? Can anyone point me in the direction of posts dealing with any known problems with the Funambol client that cover selective failing of synchronization? [SOGo] External DAV Agents
Hello, Everyone! I've just installed and configured SOGo and Funambol on CentOS v6.4 - many thanks to this forum's members and to the SOGo documentation. Even though SOGo provides a very nice web client, I do not understand the SOGo architecture enough to make modifications. However, I DO understand jQuery, CSS and HTML5 and I want to use a DAV agent called AgenDAV as the basis for a web app using SOGo as a calendar server and Google Maps for geospatial tracking. So, how does SOGo communicate with supported DAV clients like Thunderbird and Lightning? I SHOULD be able to emulate the communication layer in a web app like the existing SOGo web client does. Any thoughts? I'm new to this forum, so if this issue has been raised somewhere else, please point me in the right direction. Best Regards, Thomas -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Hi, just my 2 cents but wouldn't it be a solution tout try the sogo zpush plugin for using the native activesync of winmo 6.1 ? Re: Re: [SOGo] Re: SOGo MySQL Authentication - SOLVED
Hi odhiambo, SOGoUserSources = ( { type = sql; canAuthenticate = YES; displayName = Staff Members; id = users; isAddressBook = YES; userPasswordAlgorithm = MD5; //userPasswordAlgorithm = none; viewURL =mysql://exim4u:XXXWWW@127.0.0.1:3306/exim4u/sogo_auth_view; } ); XXXWWW is plain text and 'userPasswordAlgorithm = MD5;' in the configuration file. Your original SQL INSERT user should look something like this: INSERT INTO sogo_users VALUES (, MD5('password'), ); The 'MD5' on the password is what does the encryption. Pay attention to the size of the database 'password' field - MD5 always encrypts to VARCHAR(32). -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re[2]: [SOGo] Fun with Funambol
Hi Michel, I didn't even know there was an ActiveSync plugin. Shows how little I know about these things. I think I've nailed down where the problem is occurring in my setup. The Funambol is actually working OK, it appears that eM Client is having trouble remembering login details and when I sync'd my WinMo 6.1 device it didn't have anything on it so decided to update the server by removing all the calendar and task stuff! It was a good job I had done an export to a backup file to recover data in just such an event. But all is OK now, it seems. I think I will have to see how eM Client pans out, because if this connection failure is going to happen routinely, then it may not be stable enough to replace Outlook yet. We'll see. I'll try to keep from posting anything more here for a while, even if something comes up as it could invariably just be down to my setup giving me grief. [SOGo] Outlook 2003 configuration ...
I am now in the position of having to configure Outlook 2003 with SOGo I am using an older ZEG without Samba3 or Samba4 However, all my packages are up-to-date (i.e., sope, sogo, cyrus, etc.) (v2.0.6b) Q1: Pursuant to the instructions, if we're using LDAP to authenticate, we MUST use Samba4 Is that correct? Also, pursuant to the instructions, 'sasl_pwcheck_method' must be set to 'alwaystrue' Mine 'imapd.conf' reads 'sasl_pwcheck_method: saslauthd' I perceive that needs to be changed so Outlook can send the password. Q2: Pursuant to pg. 9 [11] of the instructions, Ubuntu Precise requires Samba4 to be installed. Is that correct? I believe I can handle that and finish the configuration as indicated. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
