Re: [SOGo] config SOGoUserSources ldap bindPassword
hello The bindDn and the bindpasswoard are required if : 1) your LDAP doesn t accept anonymous request (you can add an ACL to accept anonymous request from the 127.0.0.1) in this case the DN should be found. 2) Tte DN must be searched if you have a multi level LDAP organisation (example with some ou or o ) in this case the auth make a first search to search the dn and after bind with this DN. Though I'd still like tobe sure that this is the case.If I use bindAsCurrentUser, it seems apparent that bindDN andbindPassword is not required. Is that the case? "If bindFields is set, bindDN and bindPassword will still be required to find the proper DN ofthe user." Does that mean if my LDAP schema is non-standard(objectClass:person(?)) that I'll have to use bindFields and therefore require abindDN? (I'm guessing uid and userPassword are what SOGo expects toexist by default.)Are there any other cases in which bindDN and bindPassword are required?Thanks,Simon--users@sogo.nuhttps://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] Patch for #0002328
Hi, I just added a small patch for bug #2328 : http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=2328 Is it ok ? -- Michel RENON www.mr-consultant.net/Blog -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] Patch for #0002393
Hi, A customer asked me to enhance Sogo Connector with periodic sync. So I created a report with my patch : http://www.sogo.nu/bugs/view.php?id=2393 I wrote it in a generic way, trying to create options instead of hard-coding behaviors. My customer expects an integration in a future version. Is it possible ? As it is a relatively big patch (functionality and code), I expect a strong review : I'm ready to answer all your questions and make every necessary change. Cheers, Michel Renon http://www.mr-consultant.net/blog -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Using the sources won't change anything. You could follow the bugs and eventually use a nightly build. Hi Michael, I think the RPC over LAN and HTTP proxy over WAN. All authentication settings are same in both method. 2013-08-15 08:33 keltezéssel, Michael Volz írta: Hi Peter, thanks again. Re: [SOGo] Uncaught exception
Hey Ludovic, thank you for your answer. That's kind of bad news. Do you mean SOGo 2.1 or OpenChange 2.1? Is there a schedule yet? I don't want to rush, but the information would help to judge if and when SOGo can be a sellable alternative to Exchange. Is there a possibility that it would work with a more recent version of OpenChange compiled from source? Currently I use the packages provided by inverse. I wasn't very successful with testing self compiled Samba/OpenChange so far but I can put more effort into making that work. And: Does this mean that my ocsmanager settings are correct / don't matter or can that still be at least part of the issue? Thanks to everyone helping and kind regards Michael Am 14.08.2013 19:32, schrieb Ludovic Marcotte: > On 2013-08-14 12:19 PM, Michael Volz wrote: >> I followed your hint an configured the permissions for the shared >> calendar with the web interface. Re: [SOGo] SOGO hangs trying to connect to external imap-server
Just to keep the list updated, in case anyone ever runs into the same problem: It seems that the problem lies with the IMAP server, which responds to many IMAP commands only with the untagged response and seems to forget to return the tagged OK response. As this seems to violate RFC 3501, I do not think that this is something SOGo should be made to handle. -Marcel Am 08.07.2013 um 18:28 schrieb Marcel Waldvogel : > Can you run wireshark (tshark) on the SOGo server to see what the two talk > about and where they get stuck? > > -Marcel > > Am 05.07.2013 um 19:09 schrieb u...@rumlikon.ch: > >> didn't to the trick. >> >> I've tried with another external imap-server (courier) and it worked great. >> Only this stupid thing we use is not working. My sieve filters (Cyrus IMAPd) start with "INXBOX" for folders in my mailbox: if header :contains "List-Id" "users.sogo.nu" { fileinto "INBOX.sogo"; stop; } Do you really want to store the messages in a folder under top level mailbox "lists"? Not sure what you mean here but if you install the SOGo Integrator extension in Thunderbird, you can do everything SOGo Web can do regarding calendar sharing from Thunderbird. Once I tried the integrator, but it didn't give username from me (just password) for authentication, and used the OS account. I use lot of mail accounts in one Thunderbird. Perhaps I was wrong, but I haven't tried it since that time. the integrator uses the username from the default mail account to authenticate against the sogo server. OK, in my system I use same account for the system and the first mail account. Anyway I think it is problem. If the integrator uses the default username of tb, then anybody cannot use two (or more) SOGo mailbox with one integrator at same time. It is the similar problem like Outlook vs. exchange accounts. Are you planning the extend this restriction (e.g. configurable username - not only the default)? -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
