Antispam has a place in SOGo too. I'd like to have an interface for the users to select how strict the spam-filter should be by integrating with sieve-spamtest/rfc5235. Maybe a "block sender" function, that pushes out a sieve script to the server to drop/move-to-Spam messages from a given sender. Also it would be nice if the SOGo webinterface had a Spam/not-spam button that would move messages to/from the Spam-folder. This could be used by http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Plugins/Antispam to train the filter. -jf -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

yes ... Jean Raby responded to my inquiry: > Error loading module '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba//vfs/acl_xattr.so': > /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba//vfs/acl_xattr.so: cannot open shared object > file: No such file or directory > > I've made sure to install 'acl' and 'attr' but no difference. > > Is this VFS module required? And, is there a fix for the error? It shouldn't be required. The error is known: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=696838 That tells me I can proceed without concern regarding 'acl_xattr.so' On 08/21/2013 07:57 AM, "Daniel Müller" wrote: Did you install attr on your linux server? -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: [SOGo] Configuration Options for the SOGo Connector needed
Thanks for the suggestion. It works - so I could sync my addressbook from the other Owncloud userid. The pitty is, that thunderbird apparently takes those credentials from that moment on.so all the other adressbook and various calendars residing in my main Owncloud userid won't sync afterwards. As you said - the password is transfered in plain text - so a manual once in a while sync is ok, but I do not want the autosync to regularly pass on the passwords.I therefore would expect, that the SOGo Connector does take on board the task to build in a seperate authentication methode. This Problem relates to the API between ADDONs (like the SOGo Connector) and thunderbird. This API should allow to pass on secretly the credentials of "what and how to connect to".I searched in Thunderbird fora and bugzilla but did not find anything like it.So I think this should be addressed to Thunderbird as well (in Bugzilla??) Thanks for your hint and supportKarl52 -Original Message- Date: Tue, 20 Aug 2013 17:51:25 +0200 Subject: Re: [SOGo] Configuration Options for the SOGo Connector needed From: Christian Mack To: users@sogo.nu Hello karl52 Am 2013-08-20 16:09, schrieb kar...@t-online.de: > > Some information about my setup > > I use Thunderbird for mailing, calendar, contacts and tasks > Lightning is the Calendar addon for Thunderbird. > > I also have installed an Owncloud Server, and use the CalDav Plugin to > sync my various Calendars in Thunderbird with OwnCloud Server. > I maintain several seperat Calendars in Thunderbird - those are added to > 1(one) specific "Owncloud Userid" in on my cloud. > > Also I maintain various addressbooks in Thunderbird (both version 17 and > 24) and my Owncloud Server. > As there is no support for multiple address books for a "single user" in > Owncloud, I try to sync addressbooks from different users on my OwnCloud > Server with a single User in Thunderbird. > I use the SOGo Connector (version 17.0.5) to sync. > This does not work as expected. > > I guess the reason is, that the only configuration option in the SOGo > Connector is to enter the CardDav Server Address. > There is no option to specify the Credentials UserID and PW for the SOGo > CardDav connection. > I wonder anyhow, what userid is actually used by the SOGo Connector. > It seems that the CardDav Connector uses the same credentials as the > CaldDav addon (would it work without the CalDav Addon??) > Why do I think this is the case? > Well - the address book of the "specific CALDav user" mentioned above is > syncronized without errors. > > So my question is: > > Is there a plan or workaround to add UserID and PW credentials to the > CardDAV configuration options for the SOGo Plugin connector? > All Plug-Ins I know use Thunderbird for the authentication part. This means, they all have one user associated to one server URL in the password store. As you already connect to that server with another Plug-In, Thunderbird will reuse its username and password for SOGo Connector too. What you can do is using another URL e.g. by setting an alias in your host file for the same IP. Or you can give the credential as part of the URL. syntax: https://username1:passw...@owncloud.example.com/. The drawback of this way, you have to set the password in plain text into the config. Re: [SOGo] Antispam & antivirus
I have a product called Sophos Email Appliance. It runs on ESXi Server as a VM, works well Sits between the gateway (firewall) and the mail server. So there is no config or integration necessary on the mail server... Mail gets scanned and passed on to the mail server... Very easy to configure in a cluster... So any changes made to the Sophos config will be replicated... Check out the Email appliance at www.sophos.com Sent via my BlackBerry from Vodacom - let your email find you! -Original Message- From: Szládovics Péter Date: Wed, 21 Aug 2013 13:23:45 To: Reply-To: users@sogo.nu Subject: Re: [SOGo] Antispam & antivirus 2013-08-21 11:11 keltezéssel, fra...@ray.org.nz írta: > Hi!; > > I've looked around, and cannot find any information regarding antispam and > antivirus for Sogo...? > > Can someone point me in the right direction? > > Thanks :) SOGo is not a mailserver. SOGo just an groupware extension for _any_ mailserver backend. So, the question is not the antivirus and antispam for SOGo. The question is antivirus and antispam for mailserver. Look at these: spamassassin, clamav, rbl lists under postfix, greylisting (e.g. postgrey), postfix policy filters, etc. Complete solutions e.g. amavis, smtp filter gateways (endian firewall, proxmox mail security). Did you install attr on your linux server? Gesendet: Montag, 19. August 2013 um 21:53 Uhr Von: raymondpotgie...@telkomsa.net An: users@sogo.nu Betreff: Re: [SOGo] Problems with Samba4 Provisioning Sorry, before you delete anything... I build the samba4 with git-core (git clone). After rebuilding I got some acl errors when doing the provision and I searched google and one site recommended deleting the /usr/local/samba directory with rm /usr/local/samba -rf and then to (make install) again. After this I could provision samba4 again without getting the acl errors... Not sure where you are with samba4 install so please search the web for possible answers... (May not be the same error as mine... ) Ta Ray Sent via my BlackBerry from Vodacom - let your email find you! -Original Message- From: Jean Raby Date: Mon, 19 Aug 2013 14:08:59 To: Reply-To: users@sogo.nu Subject: Re: [SOGo] Problems with Samba4 Provisioning On 13-08-19 11:50 AM, raymondpotgie...@telkomsa.net wrote: > > Delete your /usr/local/samba directory and re-provision > > > --Original Message-- > From: stev...@cinergymetro.net > To: users@sogo.nu > ReplyTo: users@sogo.nu > Subject: [SOGo] Problems with Samba4 Provisioning > Sent: Aug 19, 2013 5:04 PM > > When running the Samba4 Configuration on pg. 10 of the 'Native Microsoft > Outlook' PDF > > samba-tool domain provision --realm=meadorandco \ > --domain=meadorandco.com \ > --adminpass='%1OpenChange' \ > --server-role='domain controller' > > Everything completes but there's an 'acl_attr' error: > > Error loading module '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba//vfs/acl_xattr.so': > /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/samba//vfs/acl_xattr.so: cannot open shared object > file: No such file or directory > > I've made sure to install 'acl' and 'attr' but no difference. > > Is this VFS module required? Re: [SOGo] Antispam & antivirus
SOGo uses an existing IMAP/SMTP infrastructure. So you configure those just as without SOGo.
