[SOGo] Questions re: SOGo update server
Hi all, This will be the first time I have modified anything to do with the Update Server after the SOGo guys installed this for me, and it is still forcing the install of the older connector/24.0.2 and Integrator/24.0.3 extensions. I'm ready to update these to the latest 24.0.4, but I have some questions about the configuration. I have modified the new Integrator extension and uploaded both of the new versions to /var/www/plugins folder (same folder that also contains the updates/php file). Questions: 1. Is this the correct location? How do I confirm this? I'm new to both Debian *and* SOGo, and am not even sure where the DocumentRoot is for the SOGo web server. 2. Owners for Connector and Integrator are different: Connector is root:root, and Integrator is the username I assigned for the SOGo dev who remoted in and did this install for me. Does it matter? What should the owners and permissions be for each/both? 3. Do I need to restart SOGo after modifying the updates.php script? Thanks, Charles -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] Re: Questions re: SOGo update server
One other question, I'm curious, does everyone else push updates to Lightning using their SOGo update server? Or do you just let Thunderbird keep it updated itself? Thanks again, Charles -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Re: [SOGo] Re: Questions re: SOGo update server
It should be handled with the update server and/or manually. Why? Because sometimes there are newer versions of Lightning that are not compatible. [SOGo] Can someone explain Delegation feature?
One of SOGo features is Delegation: Delegate access to your mail account or delegate an invitation to another person. If user A delegate access to his mail account to user B, then user B can see user's A Firstname Lastname email address as one option in From: field in Compose Message windows. How can granting access to other user to send messages can function, regarding required Postfix configuration? Usually Postfix is configured with smtpd_sender_login_maps, in order to block sender address spoofing with SMPT AUTH. Both delegation options, delegation of access to mail account, as well as delegating of invitation are functioning from web interface only, but not from Thunderbird with SOGo extensions installed. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] SSHA and SQL
I was trying to connect a SOGo instance to an external sql user source providing a salted sha256 hash in hex format and was wondering how to make an appropriate view for this. I looked a bit into the source of NSCrypto.m and assumed to glue the salt at the end of the hash as a text string. This didn´t succeed in any way. I was wondering if this functionality is even yet implemented before I dig deeper into the code looking for traces of it? I lowered our database approach a bit to sha256 hex and this is working properly. Thanks for any advice Uli -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Re: [SOGo] customise the color of header bar
Hi Bahti, it seems you forgot the screenshots, but I guess we did something similar for our test instance (but used red instead, to make it very visible if somebody’s using the wrong instance). I ended up adding following to the generic.css: /* Change menu bar color for SOGo-test for visual indication. */ .linkbanner { background-color: darkred !important; } .linkbanner a, .linkbanner span { border-color: darkred !important; } .linkbanner span.active { border-top-color: darkorange !important; } Some more styling work could’ve been done for the hovers and stuff, but it was fine for a test system only used in administration. These lines have to be appended after every update, an included CSS file for user-defined styles would be a nice thing but currently is not available in SOGo. [SOGo] LDAP hostname configuration directive
Hi there, For our domains, we have primary and backup LDAP servers to take requests. Per the “SOGo Installation Guide”, page 22, it says that the “hostname” field can be a space-delimited list of LDAP URLs or hostnames. When I put in multiple LDAP URLs here, SOGo will not load. I have attempted to put the LDAP URLs in and out of quotes, but nothing works. Am I missing something in the way I should be inputting these hostnames? For example, I have … hostname = “ldaps://ldap-server0.domain.org” “ldap://ldap-server1.domain.org”; or hostname = ldaps://ldap-server0.domain.org ldap://ldap-server1.domain.org; Neither work. hostname = ldaps://ldap-server0.domain.org works perfectly fine. Any suggestions? Much thanks. ~Laz-- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
