[SOGo] SOGo with Openchange on a Samba3 domain
We have yet to have migrated to Samba4 or AD proper so we are still using our OpenLDAP and Samba3 domain. However I am wanting to test the Outlook connectivity for possible rollout. Has anyone successfully deployed SOGo+Openchange+Samba4 while still leaving Samba3 in place? Our setup currentlystands as: PDC, mail, webmail/SOGo etc are all separate machines with mail being a secondary domain controller with backup LDAP. Any pointers are very welcome. -- Donny B.-- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

Re: [SOGo] Dovecot shared mailbox dictionary via SOGo
On 13/06/14 16:39, Alexander Pfeiffer wrote: > I have never used the sogo-tool, sorry. But i am looking forward to > your experiences with it on this topic. OK, I now have shared folders (mostly) working between mailboxes. In the end I didn't go with Alex's suggestion of using SOGoEnableDomainBasedUID as although I have multiple domains on my system the idea is not to separate them. Some users just prefer one domain suffix to another as their primary. My solution was to update UIDFieldName = mail in sogo.conf and restart SOGo. This caused the correct entries to be written to the Dovecot shared mailbox dictionary. After this both SOGo and Thunderbird were able to see the shared mailboxes. However, as expected, it broke each user's Calendar, Address book, etc. To fix these, I ran the following for each user: sogo-tool rename-user username usern...@example.net I'd taken a backup of the MySQL database before starting but it was not needed. Simply running this for each user and then logging them off and back on showed their calendars, etc. again. It's worth noting that for people using Cal/CardDAV (and possibly other access methods) the URL to access the resources is also changed by this command. During testing, I discovered that I could not create folders below a user's INBOX that had been shared with me, despite having the appropriate permission in the ACL. To fix this, I needed to add mail_shared_explicit_inbox = yes to Dovecot's configuration and restart Dovecot. This then shows the INBOX folder below the shared user and allows sub-folders to be created successfully. The only part that doesn't work now is deleting shared sub-folders. Again, it's not a permission thing. Dovecot gets confused in trying to move the sub-folder to my personal Trash. Because the entry is in a shared index for the original folder and needs to be in my personal index for the deleted version, it gets itself in a knot. The work-around appears to be to turn off the functionality of Trash and delete mails/folders immediately. I consider this too dangerous and so will be avoiding the recommendation! Here's a Dovecot mailing list thread about the issue: http://dovecot.2317879.n4.nabble.com/Problem-with-INDEXes-and-deleting-shared-folders-td45844.html As far as I can tell this is not fixed in any way in any version of Dovecot so far. I'd be interested to hear from anyone that has it working? Hope this all saves someone else some time... -- Ian McMichael . E-Mail: ian.mcmich...@gmail.com . I find the problem (I just sent a other mail to this mailing list). The problem (you can try it) appear when you enable « Sort messages by threads ». So when the « sort messages by threads » is enable the compose windows don't close when the first mail has a attachment and the response got a attachment. The other same problem is when you forward a message with a attachment and you forward the message as attachment the windows don't close. Regards. Re: [SOGo] GUI Revamp
On 12/06/14 11:14, Francis Lachapelle wrote: Hi Since the release of version 1.0 five years ago, SOGo has gained a lot in maturity and tons of great features. However, we feel like the UI and UX of the Web interface have been neglected and deserve a good amount of love. That's why we have big plans for the next major release of SOGo. We want to leverage the stability and flexibility of the backend to completely rewrite the front-end with modern technologies that will allow the evolution of SOGo for another five years. The biggest challenge we want to meet is the accessibility of the Web interface from modern mobile devices. SOGo is already accessible to mobile devices through CalDAV, CardDAV and ActiveSync, but some users still want to access their data through a Web browser. That means removing double-clicks and contextual menus. It also means responsive design and simplified UI for small screens, all without penalizing desktop users. We've been analyzing and testing various options for the past few months and we decided to build the new Web interface with the following open source projects: - AngularJS (https://angularjs.org/): a powerful open-source web application framework. The project is already very popular and has a promising future. - Foundation (http://foundation.zurb.com/): an advanced front-end framework combining a flexible grid system and a great bare style to build a custom look and feel. - Ionic (http://ionicframework.com/): a new framework to build hybrid mobile apps with HTML5. While our initial goal is to offer a very functional Web interface to mobile devices, Ionic will ultimately help us to package a native app of SOGo for Android and iPhone devices. SOGo is a complex Web application and deserves a serious front-end architecture. That's why we'll adopt a MVW (model-view-whatever) structure on the front-end (AngularJS), use Sass to build the CSS (with Foundation), and use a specific framework for the mobile version of the Web interface (Ionic). If you are a UX expert, a UI designer or a JavaScript developer and you want to contribute to the revamp of the Web front-end of SOGo, please contact us. Share your ideas, sketches and inspirations on what would be the very best open source groupware for you. Thanks, Francis +1000 -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists

[SOGo] I got you (bug report)
Hi, I finally find how to reproduce my bug. If I enable « thread » view inside the mail list, I got my bug about closing windows. Meaning when I answer with a attachment to a mail with a attachment the windows never close after I click « send » button and the windows is freeze. Same problem when I do a forward with « as attachment ». If I disable the « thread view » the bug disappear. Regards.
