[SOGo] Samba4 crashes

2014-08-18 Thread Lawrence Haw

Hi List,

I've done a Sogo install with Samb4 from the sogo.repo on a CentOS 6.3
box - I've done it on both a physical server as well as an OpenVZ
container and the results are always the same.

The versions are as follows:

samba4-4.0.1-4.centos6.1.x86_64
openchange-rpcproxy-2.0.r3669.sogo-1.centos6.x86_64
sogo-activesync-2.2.7-1.centos6.x86_64
openchange-2.0.r3669.sogo-1.centos6.x86_64
openchange-ocsmanager-2.0.r3669.sogo-1.centos6.x86_64
sogo-openchange-backend-2.2.6-1.centos6.x86_64
sogo-2.2.7-1.centos6.x86_64

dovecot-2.0.9-7.el6_5.1.x86_64
dovecot-pigeonhole-2.0.9-7.el6_5.1.x86_64

The system installs the Outlook clients can connect (I've set both
dovecot and Sogo to use the internal Samba4 LDAP directory for auth) - I
have this in my dovecot.conf:

passdb {
  driver = static
  args = nopassword=y
}

Which is what I understand is needed to take care of "trust" or no
password auth.

I can give more details of my config if needed - I seem to have regular
frequent samba4 crashes - but not always with the same error:

Common ones are:

PANIC: Bad talloc magic value - unknown value
PANIC: internal error

One or two things to query for a start:

1. How can I create a trace to better help here?
2. I notice the version of Samb4 in use on the repo is quite old by now
- the latest release is: 4.0.21

I see quite a few references to patches or similar that might help
resolve but I'm not sure how to do that in the scenario I have with it
all being installed through yum as per the instructions on:
http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Native%20Microsoft%20Outlook%20Configuration.pdf

Unfort this is very urgent as we did not encounter this in testing and
only once the machine hit production!

Re: [SOGo] Ubuntu LTS "do-release-upgrade"

2014-08-18 Thread Szládovics Péter

Hi Martin,

Thanks, I'll try it :)

Cheers,
Peti

Hi Peter,

for our migration from 12.04 to 14.04 first we disabled the
sogo-source, did the dist-upgrade and after all we enabled the
sogo-source for apt-get again and did a apt-get update et al.

Works like a charm ;-)

Dear List,

Did anybody do the do-release-upgrade in a working Ubuntu system with
SOGo?

It's OK, or we need to solve lot of problems?

If anybody has some experience in this method, please share them.
Thanks a lot,

client is Thunderbird 24.6 with lightning 2.6.6 and connector 24.0.6
On client there is no error or other indication that something got
wrong, simply synchronization bar never stop

Any idea how to handle this type of situation? Have I to open a bug report?

server is a centos 6.5 64bit, sogo 2.2.7 from official repository

Some additional info - upgrading to dovecot-2.2 does not solve the issue.

[SOGo] authentication problems / caching problems on multi domain and multi SOGoUserSources sites...

2014-08-18 Thread Michael Alzheimer

Hi all,

hope somebody can give me a hint ;)

we have here a multi domain configuration, each with a different
SOGoUserSource (bothsamba4 AD, but different AD's on different hosts,
with different base-dn and different users...)
 - users, that log on with @ will be authenticated
against _both_ SOGoUserSources, of cource, failing at one, but succeed
on the other
- users, that log on with @ will be authenticated
against _both_ SOGoUserSources, again here, fail on one, and succeed on
the other.
now, often it happens, if memcached is running, that all users from
(the AD Server is quite a bit farer away, has a little higher
latency then AD of domain_a), won't work and only the sogoMessage
"object not found: SOGo => @" is displayedin the web
interface.
Disabling memcached solves it, but throws thousands of caching-error
messages in the sogo.log,of course ;)

Now, did I understoodsomething wrong? - imho i thought, the users of
should only be authenticated against AD of cause,
for this, AD of domain_a is theonly SOGoUserSource, and of course, same
on
 - or are always all UserSources are triedregardless if they are
configured in this domain or not.

 - or did I simply made a config mistake :D

I hope idescriped it a little bit clear... :D

Currently we are running sogo with nightly version of (2.2.8?) - cause
2.2.7 had a bug that was only fixed in the nightly one.
I see this behaviour since our upgrade from 2.x (2.0.x ithink) to 2.2.7
and 2.2.8 nightly...

It's currently a ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS System,

and here's the config:

Thank you in advance! ;)
