[SOGo] Default email in from field

2014-12-30 Thread Michał Franczak

Hello,
I have configured SOGo to enable multiple addresses for one user.
I have
  MailFieldNames

mail
shadowAddress

and

bindFields

mail
shadowAddress

User can change From field from drop down list.
The default field is always the mail attribute. If I want to send
message from different mail address I have to choose it every time I
compose mail.
I'd like to set this field permanently to one of shadowAddresses for
certain users or to be set dynamically to mail/shadowAddress used to
login to interface or at least to remember my last setting.

Is it possible?
Regards

Sounds good :)
Perhaps the problem there is on my side.

If I set it on my phone, the new mails not arrive in time, just when
I do a refresh manually in AS client.
Is it normal?
What phone are you using? What are the EAS related setting values in
your sogo.conf?

Android 4.4.2 stock EAS client.
I think all EAS related parameters are in default. I'm affraid it is my
problem.

One thing I do not understand, in packages sogo we install sogo-activesync, do
package need to OpenChange syncroniser messages, calendar, contact on mobile or
not at all?
You only need sogo-activesync. Mobile devices (or Outlook 2013) use the
ActiveSync protocol, not the Exchange protocol.

Is also the python-ocsmanager package provides the ability to configure a
server nginx or not, as it puts everything on apache2?

It doesn't matter.

Thanks,

thanks, guys for the suggestions . . .

I do appreciate them. I will not be getting back to this until later
today, but I'll start with some fresh ideas.

I see that in SOGo, as it accesses the "sogo" table in MySQL and

But "administra...@smb-domain.com" is not allowing Postfix/Dovecot to

It must not be a valid account for Postfix/Dovecot to "read" (that's
all I see about it)

Yes, I've read and read the Arch Wiki, and I'm sure I'm as ignorant
as the day is long, but it's not helping. Neither have I found the
right documentation in the SOGo Installation Guide (again, being
ignorant)

I don't have any problem with any of that. I just want it to work,
and I'm confused by my results.

You can integrate iredmail with active directory, so possibly this

[SOGo] ANN: SOGo v2.2.13

2014-12-30 Thread Ludovic Marcotte
The Inverse Team is pleased to announce the immediate availability of
SOGo 2.2.13. This is a minor release of SOGo which focuses on improved
stability over previous versions.

 What is SOGo

SOGo is a free and modern scalable groupware server. It offers shared
calendars, address books and emails through your favorite Web browser or
by using a native client such as Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning,
Apple Calendar and Address Book (Mac OS X and iOS) and Microsoft Outlook.

SOGo is standard-compliant and supports CalDAV, CardDAV and reuses
existing IMAP, SMTP and database servers - making the solution easy to
deploy and interoperable with many applications.

SOGo features:

 * Scalable architecture suitable for deployments from dozen to many
   thousand users
 * Rich Web-based interface that shares the look and feel, the features
and the data of Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning
 * Improved integration with Mozilla Thunderbird and Lightning by using
the SOGo Connector and the SOGo Integrator
 * Native compatibility for Microsoft Outlook 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013
 *

Two-way synchronization support with any Microsoft
ActiveSync-capable device (Apple iOS, Android, Windows Phone,
   BlackBerry 10) or Outlook 2013

 * Excellent native integration with Apple software (Mac OS X and iOS)
   and Android-based devices

and many more! SOGo and our connectors are completely free.

 Changes from the previous release

*Bug fixes*

 * fix contact description truncation on WP8 phones (#3028)
 * fix freebusy information not always returned
 * fix timezone issue when the user one was different from the system
   one with EAS

*Enhancements*

 * initial support for empty sync request/response for EAS
 * added the SOGoMaximumSyncResponseSize EAS configuration parameter to
   support memory-limited sync response sizes

Seehttp://www.sogo.nu/bugs/changelog_page.php?project_id=1for closed
tickets andhttps://github.com/inverse-inc/sogo/commits/SOGo-2.2.13for
the complete change log.

Re: [SOGo] IMAP4 login failed . . .

2014-12-30 Thread Steve Ankeny

I'm still confused by it.

"administra...@smb-domain.com" accesses the Samba ldap server and
authenticates the users.

I see that in SOGo, as it accesses the "sogo" table in MySQL and
authenticates the users.

But "administra...@smb-domain.com" is not allowing Postfix/Dovecot to
access the Samba ldap server.

It must not be a valid account for Postfix/Dovecot to "read" (that's all

Re: [SOGo] IMAP4 login failed . . .

2014-12-30 Thread Steve Ankeny

I am using Samba in lieu of OpenLDAP

And, the "ldap" user in Samba is "Administrator" which appears to bind
SOGo without incident.

Users are defined in the Samba user DB, and SOGo is successfully logging
in with the Samba user.

What's NOT happening is Postfix is not authenticating against the Samba
user DB

Since it's a "sogod" error, should Postfix be authenticating with the
"sogo" user defined in MySQL?

That's not how I see it in the available documentation where it's to
authenticate against the "ldap" user, or in this case, the Samba user,
"administra...@smb-domain.com" (the same user SOGo uses to authenticate)

HOWEVER, Dovecot authentication is broken . . .

adam@sogo:~$ telnet localhost 143
Trying ::1...
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
* BYE Disconnected: Auth process broken
Connection closed by foreign host.
adam@sogo:~$

I am STILL thinking it has to do with the difference between "sogo" (as
the SOGo and MySQL user) and "Administrator" (as the Samba domain user),
and I'm thinking I need to swap those out as a test.

*Question*: Does anyone have experience configuring Dovecot, Postfix
with Samba?

The Arch Wiki has some suggestions but none have worked for me.
