Re: [SOGo] Webmin module

2015-03-25 Thread Chris Coleman
I see the same error on that Webmin SOGo module. The reason is because,
that version of the Webmin module was written about 3 years ago the
previous major version of SOGo which used GNUstep "defaults" binary to
save settings somewhere in the GNUstep settings location. The current
version of SOGO expects settings to be saved to a regular conf file
/etc/sogo/sogo.conf

Maybe the original module author could update that Webmin module's perl
code to write the settings to the proper location. Added features in
that webmin module would be nice to have.

Hi,

I’m trying to get webmine module (latest version) running and
unfortunately every time when I save changes the error “Error while
saving the following parameter :”. Could you advise how to configure
it please? I’ve also noticed the recent version is quite old, is any
plan to update it? If so when can it be expected?

Thank you.

Kind Regards

Piotr

Re: [SOGo] Thunderbird+Integrator - uninstalling leaves Calendars and local versions of Address Books!?

Ok... but... what happens when the user launches Thunderbird, gets auth
errors, then uuninstalls Connector and Integrator? Are they still left
with local versions of all of the shared Address Books they had access
to before?

I imagine that even though the Calendars hang around, they would stop
working...

Question: is it *impossible* for an extension to 'clean up' its config
entries in the config editor when being removed?

Connector is for Contacts/Address Book only. For Calendar integration
you also need the Integrator Addon.

[SOGo] Different Servers: Samba, OpenChange+Dovecot+Postfix+SOGo

2015-03-25 Thread andrew_dev
Hi everyone,

I am curios is it possible to install samba on one server (physical or
virtual) and OpenChange+Dovecot+Postfix+SOGo on other server?

I just briefly reed this tutorial:
http://iabsis.com/en/community/tuto/openchange-samba4-debian
But as I see it everything is on one server.

Keeping separate samba from SOGo server in my point of view will provide more
independency, increase performance and possibility to backup restore only
specific parts of the system.

I am sorry If this question raised before.

Thank you.

Ok, will do the next time it happens.

This time, I decided to try something different, since this user had 8
IMAP accounts (which would make it much harder to just recreate the
profile from scratch)...

1. uninstall Connector and Integrator, restart Thunderbird

2. open the config editor

3. filter on 'sogo', then 'right-clk > reset' for all entries

4. filter on 'inverse', then 'right-clk > reset' for all entries

5. restart Thunderbird

6. delete the now local address books that were provided by SOGo

7. restart Thunderbird

8. reinstall Connector and Integrator

Calendar issue fixed.

Yes it is a lot, but it was way easier than redoing the profile.

Post errors from the Thunderbird error console, if any. This will help
understand what is broken in Thunderbird/Lightning and see what is the
right fix.

The enforces permissions, not the client so it'll reject unauthorized
operations.

[SOGo] Thunderbird+Integrator - uninstalling leaves Calendars and local versions of Address Books!?

2015-03-25 Thread Charles Marcus
Hello,

I consider this a potentially major security problem...

When I simply uninstall the Integrator and Connector Addons in
Thunderbird, the user continues to have full access to all of the
Calendars they had, and even worse, the Shared Address Books they had
access to are converted to Local copies, even the ones they had
read-only access to through SOGo.

This is potentially very bad.

I'll have to test to see what happens when the user launches Thunderbird
from home after a password change... if they lose all access to the
Calendars and Address Books, and after uninstalling Integrator+Connector
the Calendars and Address Books disappear, that wouldn't be so bad

[SOGo] Sometimes Calendar gets broken in Thunderbird+Integrator - how to fix

2015-03-25 Thread Charles Marcus
Hello,

This is the 3rd time this has happened.

I have a user whose personal calendar (the other times it was a shared
calendar) has stopped working.

I try resetting the Calendar cache, and it doesn't help.

I then try disabling the calendar and re-enabling it in Thunderbird
(Calendar > Properties > Switch off > OK, then Calendar > Properties >
Switch on > OK).

Disabling works - but I am unable to re-enable it - when I click on OK
after switching it back on, nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling
then reinstalling Integrator, to no avail.

The other two times I just recreated the Thunderbird profile - and that
fixes it, so it is obviously something in Thunderbird+Integrator - but
that is not a good answer.

What is the proper way fix this?

Thanks,

Charles

[SOGo] SOGo connector seems not working

2015-03-25 Thread Ivan Andrian
Hi,
it's my first time experimenting with the Connector.
I installed it (version 31.0.1) in my TB version 31.5.0 with Lightning
version 3.3.3 - as you see, more recent than the one cited on the sogo
website.
I cannot see any difference before and after its install. I've read the
documentation for it
http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Mozilla%20Thunderbird%20Configuration.pdf
and, for example, I cannot spot any "Free / Busy URL field in the
address book" (both in TB nor in the SOGo webUI). Is this a problem
related to the different versions?
And, if so, I'm a bit worried about any possible issues like this for
future TB/LN releases.

Thanks,

[SOGo] Resource Calendar and Dovecot

2015-03-25 Thread Jan Kraljič
Hi All,

we have finally decided to drop Outlook support in our network and focus
more on important groupware stuff.

Combination SOGo + Dovecot + Samba4 LDAP is comming together nicely. Some
minor setback but I think nothing critical at the moment.

Since I really don't know all stuff around LDAP and SOGo i have encounter
little problem at setting up Calendar for resources. I have followed LDAP
config from http://wiki.sogo.nu/ResourceConfiguration and LDAP config on
this site goes nicely. After that I had to change baseDN at sogo.conf from
baseDN = "CN=Users,DC=lan,DC=domain,DC=com"; to baseDN =
"DC=lan,DC=domain,DC=com"; NO problem there. BUT problem come then at
DoveCot config when I try to do the same. Here is my config from DoveCot
LDAP:

auth_bind = yes
auth_bind_userdn = CN=%u,CN=Users,DC=lan,DC=domain,DC=com
ldap_version = 3
base = CN=Users,DC=lan,DC=domain,DC=com
# Dereference: never, searching, finding, always
deref = searching
# Search scope: base, onelevel, subtree
scope = subtree
user_attrs =
=uid=999,=gid=999,=home=/var/vmail/%u,=mail=maildir:/var/vmail/%u/Maildir
user_filter = (&(objectClass=mailRecipient)(cn=%u))
pass_attrs = uid=user,userPassword=password
pass_filter = (&(objectClass=mailRecipient)(cn=%u))
default_pass_scheme = MD5

If I hhere change "base", users cannot login anymore to DoveCot and some
wierd crash start to come up. Any TIPS what am I doing wrong?

Thanks in advance,
Jan

So should we wait until tomorrow, or is debian wheezy with the inverse
repo's safe to upgrade now?
