The FAQ is now updated:
http://sogo.nu/nc/support/faq/article/how-to-install-sogo-and-sope-through-yum-2.html

The repositories' metadata has also just been rebuilt. Please retry the
"yum clean all"/"yum update" cycle again, this time the update should
happen painlessly.

Do you have an existing server running the prerequisites listed on pg. 4
of the Installation Guide?

http://sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Installation%20Guide.pdf

You start there. You need an existing server running database,
directory, SMTP & IMAP software, and once those work properly, you
install SOGo through the Inverse repositories. SOGo uses your existing
infrastructure.

I can second this. I had to build an entirely new system last night and
even with the correct repo, the system tries to install 3.0.0b5 for sogo
and a couple other packages. It doesn't work properly.

Make sure you're using the v3 repo. Update your yum configuration file to:

baseurl=http://inverse.ca/rhel-v3/5/$basearch

or

baseurl=http://inverse.ca/rhel-v3/6/$basearch

You have to switch to the V3 Repo first.
Then upgrading works as expected.

Invers promised an FAQ about this.
Sadly not here till now.

hmmm

yum clean all
yum update

proposes to install
sogo x86_64 3.0.0b5-1.centos6 sogo 12 M

Rather than
sogo-3.0.0-1

[SOGo] Ubuntu 14.04 LTS SOGo 2.3.7 to 3.0.0 Upgrade Report

2016-02-01 Thread Ian McMichael
This morning I have upgraded our production Ubuntu 14.04 server to SOGo
3.0.0. I thought I would share the experience and results in the hope
that it help someone else?

To perform the upgrade I simply edited my old apt repository entry to read:

deb http://inverse.ca/ubuntu-v3 trusty trusty

After this I ran the following commands:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

About two minutes later SOGo v3.0.0 was running. Absolutely nothing
else needed editing or updating in my configuration, which uses a Samba
4 LDAP directory as its user source.

The web interface was tested in Chrome 48 and Firefox 44 running on an
Ubuntu 14.04 (64-bit) desktop. The interface all performed as expected
with the following exceptions:

Incorrect e-mail displayed above the folder list: Bug 3473

Move button missing in message list: Bug 3477

I then tested via Chrome 47 on my Nexus 5 running Android 6.0.1. Wow!
The old v2.x interface was unusable on a screen this size and required a
number of work-arounds for the right-click, which never worked well on a
touchscreen. SOGo v3 is a joy to use on a small screen. I can read
everything and it is fluid, feeling about as close to a native Android
app as you could hope.

Many, many thanks for a great release.

It works for us SOGo 2.3.5 + 2.3.6a.
AFAIK there was only in SOGo 2.2.7 a bug which prevented it from working.

There is an issue though -- if you create a new mail, and type in a mail
address that doesn't exist in an address book, then you cannot click the
send button as it is greyed out.

I searched the docs and couldn't find a parameter to stop this behavior

Just a guess.

Hi All,

After further testing on both Windows and Linux -- only the Enter key works
correctly -- if you type an email address and press the tab key to go to
subject, the address is not validated (does not become highlighted with an
`x`). Only the Enter key works ... not the Tab key.

Thanks

Yes, because SOGo does not know there is a Sieve rule, if it was not
created by SOGo itself.

No, there is no way around that, as SOGo does have no mean to find
existing Sieve rule files, nor can analyse those.
Only the ones it created itself are therefore known to SOGo.

Because of that, when creating Sieve scripts, it will overwrite already
existing ones.

[SOGo] SOGo 2.3.3 - Subscribing users to own Calendars at sharing dose not work anymore

2016-02-01 Thread Götz Reinicke - IT Koordinator
Hi,

I noticed that the subscribing of users to a calendar I own dose not
work any more as expected.

E.g. I add a coworker to my office calendar and set the ACL and than
check the "subscribe User".

The coworker gets am email, that I addedt him to and shared a folder.

But that folder (= calendar) dose not shows up in the SOGo Calendars
overview, neither dose it shows up on clients with Caldav accounts
accessing SOGo.

All checket on Mac OS X 10.10/11.

The Coworker has to add the calendar by hand in SOGo and after that
check (enable) the delegation config in Apple Calendar.

Than the calendar shows up.

What may be wrong? I think the auto subscription worked in the past for
us

Thanks for hints/feedback! Götz
