The nightly build is using the master branch of the Material Design framework.
Our current templates and stylesheets are not adjusted to work with the latest
changes. It will be fixed for 3.0.3.

[SOGo] Message list layout broken in webmail

2016-04-10 Thread Peter B

Hi,

Ubuntu 14.04 SOGo nightly 3.0.2.20160410-1

Past few days users are complaining of being unable to select messages
in webmail. This is because the avatars are showing incorrectly (in
fact, if it's the "default" person icon you can't see them at all
because of the colours). Those with gravatars or alternative avatars
have worked out that they can select messages by clicking the (poorly
displayed) avatar.

Currently selected message shows as a plain green bar, multiple selected
messages (using avatars) show with avatar missing but no highlight.

Just updated to the latest nightly, no change.

Peter.

Do you call sogo-ealarms-notify with "-p /path/to/credFile"?

Hi Thomas,

Thanks for taking a look at this.

Auth isn't required by the SMTP server that SOGo is connecting to; the
250-AUTH messages are informing the client of methods available (I
wouldn't be getting your emails otherwise!).

Have you tried CardDav? In my experience it works better with Android
devices.

BTW: it's also possible to import contacts directly in the web interface.

[SOGo] Samba Authentication

2016-04-10 Thread Azam Premji
Hi guys,

I'm trying to get SOGo to authenticate to Samba4. I have installed Samba 4.4.0
and SOGo 3 along with Postfix, Dovecot, MariaDB and Apache2. I'm not doing the
OpenChange thing - I want to use the Web interface tho and maybe Outlook 2013
so I have activesync installed. I installed Samba by downloading with wget and
going thru ./configure, make, and make install.

I'm able to see the Web interface of SOGo but logging in simply throws an
'Authentication Failed, Wrong username or Password' message. When I look into
my /var/log/sogo/sogo.log I see the following:

I read that there isn't really anything to worry about not being able to create
the SSL.bundle thing but I don't know about the
WOxExtElemBuilder,WOxExtElemBuilder error. I couldn't find a file like that on
my system. And the last one there about the password policy I have no idea. I

/usr/local/samba/bin/samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --min-pwd-length=1

I'm not sure if I'm missing a step and I have a feeling it's something really
stupid.
- Does my sogo.conf look right for Samba authentication? Should it really say
type = ldap?
- I copied the format of the bindDN from a website. Is that accurate?
- Since I have a user in Samba (test1), how can I check what the CN=,DC=, is
for that user in Samba? This way I know if the CN listed in my baseDN is
actually 'users'?

Don't know if this is related or I should be starting a new thread for it but
log.samba shows this error:

RE: [SOGo] SOGo and necessity of using OpenChange

2016-04-10 Thread "MicTieMix"
If you don’t mind to install a little helper ‘CalDav Synchronizer’ from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/outlookcaldavsynchronizer/) you don’t need
OpenChange or ActiveSync.

I am using this for several weeks, it’s working fine and is actively maintained
and updated

Review pg 3, 51-58 of the SOGo Installation and Configuration Guide
  (PDF)

Generally, you will find that Outlook 2010, and below, require OpenChange for
use with the "Outlook Anywhere" protocol, while Outlook 2013 can be used
without OpenChange with the Enterprise ActiveSync protocol.

Note: IF you need OpenChange, you MUST install the Inverse version of Samba
4.1.18

Follow the Native Microsoft Outlook Configuration Guide
  (PDF)
Works ONLY on Ubuntu Trusty & Debian 8

Hi all!

I'm thinking to implement SOGo only for synchronization of address book,

Must I also to install OpenChange for these cases? Previously I made an
implementation of SOGo which we use with Outlook 2013 and some Android
clients and in these cases the synchronization of address book, tasks
and contacts ran smoothly without the need to install OpenChange.

Thanks in advance.

Re: [SOGo] Syncing Outlook Calendar without Samba 4?

2016-04-10 Thread Jens Erat
Hello Ralf,

> I am somewhat confused re. MS Outlook support of SOGo.

it depends on which Outlook version you have to support. Newer versions
also support ActiveSync, which is natively implemented by SOGo (but I
think needs to be installed separately through all distributions). Older
versions only speak the classic Exchange/MAPI protocol, which requires
the full Samba 4 and OpenChange stack, which is rather complicated to
set up.

Outlook 2013 does support ActiveSync, and so does Outlook 2016. This
chart describes it pretty well:

http://sogo.nu/about.html

Samba 3 does not have the Active Directory features required.
