[SOGo] iPhone CalDAV

2010-11-06 Thread Bastian Kirchner
Hi all,

I've got a question regarding iPhone CalDAV support. Has anyone a solution for
invites (send and accept) on the iPhone? Or would this be another thing for
Apples feature wish list?

Cheers,

Both ways would be great. But I think accepting the received invitations is
something Apple has to implement in iOS.

[SOGo] Disable Logout Button

Hi all,

is there any possibility to disable or hide the logout button from the
webinterface?
I use SOGo with CAS authentication and i don't want the users to use the CAS
logout here.

Re: [SOGo] Bind LDAP

2010-10-30 Thread Bastian Kirchner
Hi Albert,

the bindPassword is the password of the LDAP account defined in bindDN. The
bindDN is the ldap account SOGo uses for LDAP queries.
Try the following:
 - create an LDAP account for sogo (for example
uid=sogo,ou=People,dc=example,dc=com)
 - assign a password to this LDAP account
 - use the LDAP account mentioned above as bindDN and the assigned password as
bindPassword
I think, the bindPassword argument is mandatory, but i'm not sure.

Bastian Kirchner

 Hi.

I think you should set the following in your SOGoUserSources section:

 ...
 bindDN = cn=,dc=,dc=fr;
 bindPassword =

Replace the values with the right ones depending on your ldap configuration.

But I don't understand what's bindPassword. Our LDAP is used for
authentication (only) for all server, and the authentication don't need a
 password.

 Thanks for you ansers.

Re: [SOGo] general questions regarding SOGo install

2010-10-30 Thread Bastian Kirchner
Hi Francis

1st: you CAN use SOGo with an external IMAP server, the users must have the
same credentials at SOGo which they use at the imap server (username/password
or emailaddress/password). You have to configure the IMAP host via defaults
and, if the users must log on to IMAP with the mail address, you have to tell
SOGo to do so.

If you install SOGo from repo, Cyrus will be installed with it, but you may
ignore it, just leave it unconfigured.

But yes, SOGo can be used with external imap servers.

 Hi,

in our company we have an external mail provider mail.XXX.XX, IMAP is
 available there.

On the machine im planning to install SOGo runs already a postfix, only
used to send mails to my mail-address if the raid fails or backups with
 errors appear.

Backup software is bacula (with sqlite3). The server is also used as an
 PDC for our domain.

Is it possible to use the external mail provider with SOGo? If so, is
there anything i have to keep an eye on?

Cyrus still needed, if the above is possible?

Do i really need an LDAP server? IMHO this is kinda too much for our
 little company.

I think this is it for now, but be prepared for more questions from me.
(first time SOGo install, also not too experienced in all this
 groupware,mta stuff).

 they dont get installed automatically.

I'll try to do the most on my own, but i need some hints before i start,

Re: [SOGo] Syncing SOGo with Android

Hi Nahir,

I don't know much about Droid devices. As much as I know, they should be
capable to sync Calendars via CalDAV, or not?
The CalDAV support in SOGo is very good.

Give it a try.
