Thank you for your reply and informations. What are the problems? Are the
emails synchroniced via ActiveSync or only the Calendards and Contacts? I
plan to setup a test environment with one server and one client. Do you think
i will see the problems or will they occure only rarely or when sharing
data between different accounts?

[SOGo] is postfix/dovecot/SOGo reliable with Outlook 2010 and 2013?

2017-01-17 Thread Mario Gruenwald
Hi

I support a few small organisations. They are using Outlook 2007 on
postfix/dovecot (imap). As groupware i installed eGroupware and SOGo. For now
it's only used for out of office notes, but this should change. Therefore i
planned to use a CalDav/CardDav-Addin for Outlook.

Unfortunately on newer Outlook versions some problems occured. Emails were
lost and Emails are not visible in Outlook although they are visible in the
webmail.

I guess, the newer Outlooks are horrible bad IMAP-Clients. I guess it would
be better to use MAPI or ActiveSync.

What is your experience? And which will do the better job?

kindly regards

[SOGo] Deprovision openchange

2015-08-21 Thread Mario Gruenwald
Hi

I guess my openchange config is broken. Therefore i want to cleanup and
restart from beginning. Problem is:

# openchange_provision --deprovision
[!] Unable to unregister this server, it's being used for: handling 2 mailboxes

I already searched in documentation and forums without success. There are a
lot of commands (openchangeclient, mapiprofile, sogo-tool, ...). I don't know
which to use and/or doesn't find the correct options.

I am even not able to list which users are in openchange and which mailboxes
are handled.

Anyone out there, who can help me?

On restart of samba4 this behavior repeats. On all of my tests of sogo, i
started using 2.0, the behavior was equal. Maybe it's my fault, but software
should write an error message, and shouldn't crash.

My system is Debian Wheezy.

My last attempts to provide a relevant stack trace were not successful.

What can i do, to solve the problem?

Hi

My last attempts with Debian Wheezy and Debian Jessie shows, that samba4
often crash using OpenChange. Unfortunately i didn't finish investigating
yet, due to lack of time.

You should check your samba4 log for "PANIC: internal error" or similar
messages.

If your samba4 does name resolution, you can should lso check, whether it's
working or not, i.e. using host www.sogo.nu

Because we use similar setups, maybe we can work together.

If i start samba with single process, samba hangs.

Any ideas how to solve?
Is there another way to use sogo via Outlook? Imap and funambol is no
solution, because of some limitations.

I can provide more information, if helpful. Please tell me which/how.

No, I didn't knew of it. I tried openchange_user_cleanup user and i found
out, that python-mysqldb package was not installed. So i installed it and
upgraded the other packages. One of them was dovecot from 2.1.7 to 2.1.17.

After upgrade there was no trust in dovecot. Because webinterface worked
before install and upgrade, i guess it was there before, but i am not sure.
However, i added it.

After these three changes openchange/samba4 is more stable, but it crashed at
least one time again. Furthermore display of mails in Outlook-Sent folder
isn't ok. Another Problem: Calendar-Entries which i created in Outlook are ok
in webinterface, but Outlook says in day/week-view, that it cannot read the
calendar. In list-view the entries are displayed correctly.

I will configure my client to the english language, check my install and
hopefully be able to provide better information afterwards.

Yes. I created a new user. My first login was via mutt and Thunderbird.

[SOGo] webinterface doesn't provide ldap information

2013-09-25 Thread Mario Gruenwald
Hi

I have following installation:
- postfix
- dovecot
- samba4
- sogo

Samba4 contains the accounts and works as ldap Server. Login via webinterface
is possible. Problem is: it seems, that sogo doesn't know the users. When i
write an Email i cannot select the other users. Further, i cannot share a
calendar to another user. And the "Shared Addresses" are empty.

I created my config using the pdf documents on
http://www.sogo.nu/english/support/documentation.html

I attach one relevant/interesting part below.

Has anyone an idea? I am happy for any tip.
