[SOGo] How to set default mail address in SOGo 3?

2017-12-30 Thread "Roland Wolters"

Hi,

I have connected SOGo via LDAP with a FreeIPA server. In this setup, each user
has many entries for the mail attribute in FreeIPA/LDAP.
The default mail address SOGo uses for each account - for example as "from" -
is the first entry in "mail" returned via ldap - which is not always the alias
the users want. Is there a way to set a default mail address for the users? Or
do I have to check back with the LDAP server to sort the entries in the "mail"
attribute properly?

Cheers,

Roland

Re: [SOGo] Docker Sogo

2017-06-14 Thread "Roland Wolters"

Hi,

the warning is just that: it's a warning. You can solve it by setting the
servername in the apache configuration just as mentioned in the warning.

You did not really describe what your actual problem is - but I guess your
container exits/stops right after the warning? Is that correct? In that case,
as mentioned above, the warning is just a coincidence, it is not causing the
container to stop. I'd check for other reasons why the container stops working.

As a side node: the images from @jenserat are built via packages supplied by
inverse, the company behind sogo. Inverse stopped providing these packages, so
you might consider using another container image or building one on your own.

Cheers,

Roland

I am not used to the Docker image from JensErat, however that does not look

actually tried, and what the output was? That would give us a chance to
actually look at the error you are facing and if we might be able to help you.

Are you familiar with docker in general?
What image did you pull? Were there instructions? Like here:

I would like to know how i should procede and if you could help me
implement this new groupware on the company. There is the ZEG VM image:

You could use the "Package-based Installation Helper" on
https://sogo.nu/download.html and install the nightlies. Follow the
instructions of the "SOGo - Installation and Configuration Guide"

Re: [SOGo] Installing SOGo in an mutliserver environment

2017-03-20 Thread "Roland Wolters"

Hi Michael,

my setup is:
- PostgreSQL DB
- OpenLDAP
- Dovecot (IMAP)
- Postfix (SMTP)
- SOGo Webfrontend
- nginx reverse proxy

Each service is running in its own Docker container and thus on its own
instance. So no need to run the Apache web server on the IMAP server. Actually
the SOGo server is just an IMAP client to Dovecot. Works pretty smooth.

Cheers,
Roland

Hello,

I try to achieve the goal to install SOGo in an multiserver environment.
I have 3 Servers available
1)Database-Server
2)Web-Server
3)Mail-Server
Al Servers running CentOS in the current version.
The Database Server is running MariaDB and Postgresql, the Webserver is running
nginx with php-fpm, the Mail-Server is a minimal setup of CentOS 7.

I want to install SOGo in a way that the DB is hold on the Database Server, the
Website is delivered through the Webserver and the rest is running on the
Email-Server.
Is that kind of setup even possible and is there a documentation about that?

Since I found no documentation about this setup on the internet I started with
the installation of the nightly build rpm package on the email server. I
noticed that apache got installed as requirement, but I do not want an apache
running on the Email-server that’s what the Webserver is for.

Regards
Michael Goldfinger

another tool worth a look is FreeIPA: https://www.freeipa.org
However, it is focused on user management, and thus does not allow arbitrary
LDAP schemes but requires certain user parameters.
