[SOGo] Native Microsoft Outlook installation 2.0 gone really bad
After what I had thought was the last step of "Native Microsoft Outlook installation 2.0" on my Ubuntu server 12.04, Now I am totally locked out of the server. It seems that something is wrong with the sldap setup. I noticed the problem after the "Adding Users" section where I added only myself. I noticed I could not run anything "sudo" . I didn't get any error messages when running sudo, just nothing would happen... Then I got kicked out of my ssh session. And now I am locked out from both SSH and the server's terminal. I restarted the server through the hardware button since I can't even log-in. I get a message when restarting that sldap "failed"... I assume the problem occured perhaps in the OpenChange configuration scripts however they ran exactly as expected. I have tried logging into the server with another administrator's username and password but it is the same thing. I simply can't log in either with the server terminal or ssh. Any ideas on what I can do? strangely enough, I can ftp into the server. That seems my only way in and out. /Thomas -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
Re: [SOGo] Sogo 2.0 and strange email window
A little update on this I now tried my "chrome" browser, and it displayed the email window correctly. So now I know this is browser related. Then I turned my Windows Explorer to "Explorer 9" mode (I have explorer 10). Still bad. Then I tried "explorer 8" mode and it displayed correctly. To summarize 1. Windows Explorer 10... Bad 2. Windows Explorer 9... Bad 3. Windows Explorer 8 GOOD 4. Google Chrome 22.0 Good Should I report this as a bug?? /Thomas Thomas Dilts skrev 2012-10-01 12:49: I did an update, my server is Ubuntu 12.04, and after your question, I cleared the browser cache, but still the problem.. [SOGo] Sogo V2.0 Beta
Hello, I admit I haven't been reading carefully all the email traffic. Is Sogo v2.0 Beta stable enough to try in a production environment? It sounds like the final release of Sogo v2.0 is delayed due to microsoft's bugs, but still I really really really need this "MS exchange" functionality. People are really pressing me to install it... So what is the verdict? Install, or not to install? That is the question. /Thomas Dilts Sweden. -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] Outlook compatibility Installation
I'm trying to follow the installation instructions in http://www.sogo.nu/files/docs/SOGo%20Native%20Microsoft%20Outlook%20Configuration.pdf for "Debian 6.0 (“Squeeze”) and Ubuntu 11.10 (“Oneiric Ocelot”)" I have "Ubuntu 12.04 LTS ". The packages "openchange, sogo-openchange and openchange-ocsmanager" do not exist. My apt sources.list contains: deb http://inverse.ca/ubuntu precise precise As "http://www.sogo.nu/english/support/faq/article/how-to-install-sogo-on-ubuntu-2.html"; says it should be. I succeeded to install Samba4 with apt-get after several tries. But none of the openchange packages can be found with apt-get. The commands are sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install openchange sogo-openchange openchange-ocsmanager Thomas Dilts -- users@sogo.nu https://inverse.ca/sogo/lists
[SOGo] How to make a link to the ICS calendar
I was also stuck on how to get a link to the ICS calendar to work since you always need the username and password. I found a similar problem in the user letters in the sogo archives and they suggested putting into cron a script to copy the calendar.ics to a public place. Works nicely actually. Then I realized you can always include the username and password in the link. The format is http://username:passw...@mysogo.xxx/dav/user/Calendar.. It's nice to avoid using cron. In the application I am using, this technique works perfectly. I am showing my calender in my wordpress web page using amr ical events plugin.
