Native Outlook compatibility is provided by openChange project.
The last stable release is from spring last year.

So there isn't any info about Outlook 2016 at all.

Currently, I'm investigating Sogo as an Exchange alternative. In understand 
Sogo natively connects to Outlook up to 2013.

The current latest version of Outlook is Outlook 2016. Is 2016 supported as 
well?
