With that SOGo looks like an MS Exchange server. Thunderbird/Lightning uses IMAP/CalDAV/CardDAV to connect to SOGo. So Openchange/Samba4 is not used by Thunderbird/Lightning. AFAIK all users which want to connect via Openchange must be configured additionally in Samba4. There is no difference if they authenticate in SOGo via DB or LDAP/AD.
