the right place to customize The Spamassassin installation
Because the amount of change that has taken spamassassin in the new version 3.4 I'm a little confused with how to configure it properly. For example, in /etc/mail/spamassasin it is a link to /etc/spamassassin in that I have no doubts. But the problem comes in knowing where I should modify files correctly so that when I update the sa-update, changes dont overwrite my config files and really use the new rules. When I run sa-update see the new rules are placed in /var/lib/spamassassin/3.004000/updates_spamassassin_org/ my question is: Should I have to manually copy them to /etc/mail/spamassasin to ensure that Spamassasin are using it correctly? because I dont see anywhere that spamassasin references that are using newly downloaded new rules.
sa-update through proxy
Hi Someone has managed to sa-update through a proxy? I tried the following ways : 1- I set on my /etc/bash.bashrc export HTTP_PROXY=http://myserver:myport/ export FTP_PROXY=http://myserver:myport/ Another way: 2- I set on my alias sa-update='env http_proxy=http://myserver:myport/ https_proxy=http://myserver:myport/ sa-update' And nothing, any suggestion?
Statistics and log analyzers for SpamAssassin that work on Exim 4.84
I am looking a tool to get stats about spamassassin but I cant find nothing to work with Exim 4.84 on a Debian 8 server. I am reading about it ( https://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/StatsAndAnalyzers) but all this scripts are outdated or dont work with exim. My scenario are 3 servers with Debian 8.02 with Exim 4.84+Clamav 0.98.7+Spamassassin 3.4.0-6 . I would prefer a report like this or better by email and not a graphic report: Total messages : 400 Clean : 197 Spam: 203 Spam percentage : 50.7% Average spam score : 13.23 Average clean score : -3.64 teergrubed : 28 average score : 22.11 total scantime : 16 sec. tossed (/dev/null) : 26 average score : 21.92 total scantime : 262 sec. rejected: 136 average score : 10.41 total scantime : 920 sec. accepted spam : 13 average score : 6.15 total scantime : 72 sec. clean mail : 197 average score : -3.64 total scantime : 1698 sec.
