Well, the proper thing to do would be to get your rDNS fixed. If
they're offering static IP services to business customers, they should
be offering rDNS as well. Have them change your rDNS record to match
your A record.

Thanks for your answer.

The problematic server isn't mine. We are processing e-mails for many
clients and we can't tell everyone to fix their RDNS. If it was
possible, I'd do it, but it isn't practical. This is why I ask here if
we can modify these rules.

Ugo

What tells you that it didn't scan it?

FP for HELO_DYNAMIC_DHCP and HELO_DYNAMIC_IPADDR

2006-10-18 Thread Ugo Bellavance

Hi,

An ISP in canada, Videotron, hits this rule with the RDNS of their new
offering: Static IP addresses on cable modem.

RDNS:
Dynamic:

modemcable002.152-81-70.mc.videotron.ca.

Static:

modemcable014.58-70-69.static.videotron.ca

This should be fixed, as many Videotron clients purchase a static IP
address to have their own mail server. This service also comes with all
ports open (dynamic has port 25 blocked in/out), so they are almose
telling their clients to deliver directly.

What should I do, create a bug entry in bugzilla?

Regards,

Ugo

Thanks for your reply.

I think I found the problem. I had 127.0.0.1 configured as a name
server and bind was down on the localhost. Looks like this lookup
doesn't go see the 2nd DNS server in /etc/resolv.conf.

Is that a known issue?

Using nntp/gmane.

SA usually detects pyzor's presence automatically once it is installed.
No config required.

Do a --lint test and look for pyzor entries.

OT : How to 'nomail' this list

2005-06-13 Thread Ugo Bellavance
Hi,

I want to interact with this list via nntp (gmane), but since this list
is member-only, I must subscribe to post. I didn't find the way to set
the option not to receive messages from the list.

A hint?

Thanks,

Ugo

debug: DNS: timeout for ahbl after 20 seconds

2005-06-12 Thread Ugo Bellavance
Hi,

I get this message on 2 servers, while all my other servers, with the
same config are ok.

debug: DNS: timeout for ahbl after 20 seconds

Any idea of what could be wrong?

Ugo
