I didn't say your config file... ;)

I'll spare you the details, but those two plugins are part of the 3.2
rule development area, and the loadplugin lines are included in the main
config files so that the plugin can be loaded for rule testing.

   Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::Sandbox::hstern
 or
   Mail::SpamAssassin::Plugin::Sandbox::felicity

grep for these wherever the default rules got installed, then comment the
lines out.

I recently disabled the loading of my plugin since I've moved all the code out
into the normal modules at this point, so if you tried using a newer 3.2
build, you'd be down to just Henry's plugin.

got it. thx.

tho i suspect the answer may be amongst the details you'd like to spare, why

fwiw, i was building svn co r376926 ... i'll probably get to something newer
soon.

thx! :-)

In a fully released version, you'd be right. For rule development
in the development version of SA (3.2), we've just been putting the
sandbox-area loadplugin lines in the cf files for simplicity.

As the rules and code get to the point that they'll be promoted, the
plugins (or code therein) will be moved to a more appropriate area.
In the end when 3.2 is released, things will be how you expect -- new
loadplugin lines in v320.pre, etc.

A good rule of thumb is that if you're using the development version of
SA, you shouldn't be surprised by anything. ;)

fair point; can't/won't argue.

just makes it a little tough for the less-well-versed among us to do any sort
of testing --
ultimately helpful or otherwise ... -- if there's a certain class 'surprises'.
namely, those
that fire off errors on --lint when we're told/asked to check with --lint.

but now that i know, i no longer care! ;-)

cheers,

hi,

i've SA-head built on OSX 10.4.5.

i've brought the fact that these missing-plugin errors keep showing up a number
of times to no
avail ... fair nuf.

is there a way to turn off logging for these *particular* errors? my logs are
getting bloated
with a heavy prevalence of these two:

i don't want to turn off ALL error logging, of course, just these as they're
irrelvant and 'noisy'.

thanks!
