You use spamassassin or the spamc (to call spamd) programs to evaulate the "file" that is submitted. You can test this directly on the command line, and you can write you own Perl script to load and create MailSpamAsssain objects and check them if you wish to add this directly to a web server etc. Again, this too is fairly easy to test but you must be at least a MINIMAL Perl programmer (or know one who will help you.) Likely the examples found by doing "perldoc SpamAssassin" (where SA is installed), and such on the other modules/objects, will get you close to a simple Perl script for creating such an object and checking some "data" in a file or variable. -- Herb Martin
How to check if content is spam or not?
hi Users on a site submit content [resumes, classifieds etc]. The data needs to be checked for Spam. Data is stored in mysql. When the user submits the data, how can I route it thru Spamassassin and accept the data only if it is clean? This has nothing to do with email. regards, -- B.G.
