report_safe 1# default anyway

It appears your *custom* configuration sets report_safe 2. According to
the docs [1], with that non-default setting, the "original messages will
be attached with a content type of text/plain instead of message/rfc822"
for security measures.

See the docs [1] and your custom configuration.

This is distinctly unhelpful. Please be courteous when dealing with
public mailing list inquiries, especially when you have no relation to
the Apache SpamAssassin project and your response could misleadingly
be taken to indicate that you do.

Needless to say, there's no indication that Jason's mails _are_ 'what
we're trying to block on a daily basis'. In fact, we've spent a lot
of effort over the years in allowing non-spam HTML mail through,
instead of making them into false positives.

Did you know...?

Emails like yours are what we're trying to block on a daily basis.

HTML is text. The original untouched message is saved as a standard
compliant email attachment. On a decent mail client, simply opening
the attachment will have the original message, exactly as it should
be, ready to be moved to another folder, forwarded, replied to, or
whatever.

As a hosting provider the main feedback we get is that the users
cannot read the TXT file.

Then your users are stupid or their MUA is broken.

In the future do not post html email and especially not bullshit
copyright notices to this list. No one will help you.
